Education Kit on Combating Desertification: Learning to Combat Desertification; A Teacher’s Guide سنة النشر: 2003 المؤلف المؤسسي: UNESCO The educational guide contained in this kit is addressed to teachers around the world living in areas affected by or under threat from desertification. For this reason, the guide should be seen as a general presentation to be adapted to the specific realities and preoccupations of each region or country. The guide begins with the different problems of desertification, which the teachers could integrate into lessons (fauna, flora, crop varieties or rearing, methods of land exploitation, socio-economic problems etc.). It presents the major objectives of the Convention and proposes several solutions to combat desertification. Advancing Youth Rights: Participatory Approaches for Youth Policy Design سنة النشر: 2019 المؤلف المؤسسي: UNESCO Inclusive and efficient youth policies are the cornerstone to building such environment. While no global binding framework exists, there is a growing international con¬sensus on principles for youth policy-making, rooted in the UN World Programme of Action for Youth adopted in 1995 and in the 1998 and 2019 Lisbon Declarations on Youth Policies and Programmes. Efficient youth policies require whole-of-society approaches to addressing youth issues, broad ownership and cross-sector engagement. They also necessitate meaningful engagement of youth in all their diversity – particularly those furthest behind: the most vulnerable and marginalized, the potentially or effectively radicalized, the ones engaging in violence and those suffering the scourge of conflict. 
Culture | 2030 Indicators: Thematic Indicators for Culture in the 2030 Agenda سنة النشر: 2019 المؤلف المؤسسي: UNESCO The Culture|2030 Indicators is a framework of thematic indicators whose purpose is to measure and monitor the progress of culture’s enabling contribution to the national and local implementation of the Goals and Targets of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (SDGs). The methodology is developed to assist countries and cities with very different capacities regarding the collection of data and cultural statistics. The evidence gathered will inform policies and decisions as well as operational actions enabling greater investments in culture as a sector of activity and a greater recognition of its transversal role across other sectors.

A series of practical recommendations are included for public and private stakeholders in the sport-education ecosystem, alongside resources to support the implementation of recommendations. Se incluye una serie de recomendaciones para socios de los sectores público y privado en el ecosistema deportivo – educativo, así como también recursos para apoyar la aplicación de las recomendaciones. Le contenu s’inspire directement des résultats issus d’interventions menées dans quatre pays, qui démontrent l’intérêt des partenariats intersectoriels dans le développement des politiques d’EPQ et de la mise en œuvre de programmes d’EPQ à faible coût/à fort impact qui devraient accélérer les efforts de rétablissement post-COVID. Cette note contient une sélection de recommandations pratiques à destination des acteurs publics et privés de l’écosystème sport-éducation, ainsi que des ressources pour soutenir la mise en œuvre de ces recommandations. 
Background Document: National Media and Information Literacy (MIL) Policies and Strategies in Albania; 2020-2021 سنة النشر: 2021 المؤلف المؤسسي: Albanian Media Institute | European Union (EU) | UNESCO This background study was conducted in the framework of the project "Building trust in the media in Southeast Europe and Turkey, phase II" supported by UNESCO and the European Union and implemented by the Albanian Media Institute. The project, at this stage of implementation, aims to increase the skills of young people for media and information literacy (MIL) through the integration of the MIL curriculum in the formal education system in Albania. The implementation of the project started in June 2020 and will last until 2022. This document suggests objectives for MIL policies and strategy, which should be extended to formal education (university and pre-university level); in non-formal and informal education thus affecting all members of society with the aim of increasing the level of education on media and information in Albania.
