Education, Identity and Rising Extremism: From Preventing Violent Extremism to Promoting Peace, Resilience, Equal Rights and Pluralism (PREP) سنة النشر: 2017 المؤلف: Sanam Anderlini المؤلف المؤسسي: International Civil Society Action Network In November 2016, during ICAN’s fifth annual Women, Peace and Security forum, members of the Women’s Alliance for Security Leadership (WASL) and other women-led organizations in over 30 countries analyzed the role of formal and informal education in contributing to enabling conditions and mitigating extremist violence. They also highlighted their own practical experiences and lessons learnt in providing education to prevent violent extremism by fostering peace, resilience, equal rights and pluralism (PREP) in formal and informal spaces, including through the teachings of alternative religious narratives. Their experiences, combined with desk research on the state of current policy and practice, and the first multi-stakeholder Global Solutions Exchange (GSX) meeting on the nexus of education, gender and extremism held at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris in March 2017, inform the findings of this report.

Women Preventing Violent Extremism Thought for Action Kit سنة النشر: 2015 المؤلف المؤسسي: United States Institute of Peace (USIP) United Nations Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) 1325 (2000) was groundbreaking in that it provided strong support for greater attention to the role of women in international peace and security. It acknowledges the inordinate impact of violent conflict on women and recognizes that women’s empowerment and gender equality are critical to international peace and security. The UN Security Council fully recognizes the critical link between the Women, Peace and Security agenda as laid out in UNSCR 1325 and the role women could and should play in preventing violent extremism. This document has three sections. The first section examines the question of gender and why it is important to consider both men and women, and the dynamics of gender roles in society when addressing violent extremism. The second section deals specifically with women and the underlying forces of extremist violence. It invites thinking about women as actors in preventative efforts as well as perpetrators of terrorist acts. Finally, the third section raises issues related to the various ways in which to engage communities, including members of the security sector. Each section opens with a brief introductory background, followed by short essays by some of the leading experts in this field. Each section also includes practical exercises that may prove useful for training and further dialogue. (CSNU) 1325 (2000) était révolutionnaire en ce qu'elle a fourni un appui solide pour une plus grande attention sur le rôle des femmes dans la paix et la sécurité internationales. Il reconnaît l'impact démesuré des conflits sur les femmes et reconnaît que l'autonomisation des femmes et l'égalité des sexes sont essentiels pour la paix et la sécurité internationales. Нельзя сказать, что насильственный экстремизм присущ только тому или иному возрасту либо полу, той или иной группе либо общине, однако перед идеями его сторонников и членов террористических организаций особенно уязвимы молодые люди.Сталкивающаяся с такими угрозами молодежь должна располагать возможностями для своевременного получения актуального образования, с тем чтобы овладеть знаниями, навыками и жизненными установками, которые могут помочь ей противостоять вышеупомянутой пропаганде.Развитие таких компетенций требует помощи со стороны квалифицированных преподавателей, пользующихся доверием и уважением со стороны молодых людей и поддерживающих с ними тесные контакты.Настоящее пособие разработано с учетом этой проблематики в помощь учителям старших классов начальной школы и младших и старших классов средней школы. Авторы пособия надеются, что оно поможет работе учителей в рамках как формального, так и неформального образования.
