Le Pouvoir de l'empathie سنة النشر: 2017 المؤلف المؤسسي: UNESCO This photobook is a tribute to the power of empathy and solidarity felt and expressed by young people. Its photographs and stories were selected from the response to the global youth contest “If I were…”, launched by UNESCO on social media in Arabic, English, French and Spanish in early 2017. UNESCO received some 837 submissions, from 117 countries, covering a wide variety of issues and experiences.Despite the gravity of the themes addressed in these beautiful pictures, hope emerges from the testaments of the young photographers which demonstrate not only a sensitivity to the situations of “others”, but, moreover, a resolve to help people recover and protect their rights and dignity. Cet ouvrage de photos rend hommage au pouvoir de l’empathie et aux sentiments de solidarité ressentis et exprimés par des jeunes. Les photographies et les textes qu’il contient ont été sélectionnés dans le cadre du concours mondial de la jeunesse « Et si j’étais… », lancé sur les réseaux sociaux de l’UNESCO en anglais, en arabe, en espagnol et en français, début 2017. L’UNESCO a reçu 837 candidatures de 117 pays, couvrant un large champ de questions et d’expériences. Installations of the Youth of Modern Kazakhstan to Implement Social Activity سنة النشر: 2018 المؤلف: O.V. Kaldybayeva | F.M. Mussataeva | G.Ye. Okasova The article discusses the issues related to the study of social activity among modern youth, which largely determines the implementation effeciency of a number of national programs. The conclusions in this article are based on the results of sociological study by Scientific Research Center “Youth”, carried out in the second half of 2017 in the Republic of Kazakhstan. В проведенном социологическом исследовании принимали участие 404 человека: 182 представителя российской молодежи и 222 представителя миграционных сообществ государств Центральной Азии.

Because youth perspectives matter: UNESCO toolbox for youth policy and programming سنة النشر: 2023 المؤلف المؤسسي: UNESCO <Short summary>Placing trust in youth voicesYoung people fear for their future. Pandemics, conflict, climate change, inequality – these are the issues defining their reality.Yet their potential to provide solutions to the multiple crises is not realized. From low representation and tokenistic approaches, to institutional obstacles to participation and limited civic spaces, young people are disconnected from influencing decisions and actions that affect their lives. They need real opportunities to participate in decision-making and contribute to practical solutions.Policy-makers, public officials and practitioners – as well as development sector and civil society actors – can and should create such opportunities for youth. This Toolbox is a comprehensive go-to resource to make that possible. It is intended to support these stakeholders in designing and implementing effective policies and programmes to address the multidimensional needs of youth at national and local levels.It consists of:• A guide for participatory youth policy design;• Intergenerational dialogue tools on holistic youth development and youth civic engagement; and• A training tool on meaningful youth engagement. Case Studies in Action: Youth Empowerment for a Peaceful Caribbean سنة النشر: 2024 المؤلف: Gizem Kilinç المؤلف المؤسسي: UNESCO Kingston This compilation, titled “Case Studies in Action: Youth Empowerment for a Peaceful Caribbean” presents fourteen concise case studies highlighting (sub-)regional, national, and local initiatives that contribute to the operationalisation of the Youth, Peace, and Security (YPS) agenda. It features a combination of initiatives led by government, regional organisations, the United Nations, youth organisations, civil society, and multi-stakeholder groups across the Dutch and English-speaking Caribbean. The primary objective of this overview is to enrich the knowledge base on meaningful youth engagement in peace and security issues within the region, shedding light on successful approaches, obstacles encountered, and lessons learned. Organised into five sections aligned with the pillars of the YPS agenda—prevention, protection, disengagement and reintegration, partnership, and participation—the case studies are accompanied by an introduction and a summary of recommendations.
