Council of Europe | European Commission Intercultural learning is an important topic for the priorities of both the European Commission and the Council of Europe, and of their partnership in the field of youth.Intercultural learning is an educational approach that can lead to social transformation, so that people from different cultural backgrounds can develop positive relations based on the values and principles of human rights and on seeing cultural differences as positive things. It is a form of political and social education that needs to pay attention not only to intercultural relations, but also to different understandings of culture and diversity, power relations, distribution of resources, political and social context, human rights, discrimination, history and daily interactions among different groups. This T-Kit was developed for the context of youth work and non-formal education with young people, both of which support the personal development, social integration and active citizenship of young people. Educators and youth workers have an important role in addressing intercultural learning in their work with young people. They can stimulate young people’s learning in their daily lives, so that they can question and extend their perception, develop competences to interact positively with people from different cultural backgrounds and embrace the values of diversity, equality and dignity. In today’s Europe, these values and skills are fundamental for young people and for society as a whole in order to continue building peace and mutual understanding.  Supporting Quality Journalism Through Media and Information Literacy Council of Europe This report provides the findings of a study on Media and Information Literacy (MIL) that was conducted in support of the work of the Committee of experts on quality journalism in the digital age (MSI-JOQ), as well as a series of recommendations from the authors of the study to be considered by member states and other stakeholders. The purpose of this study is to provide context and evidence to MSI-JOQ, member states and all other relevant stakeholders on media literacy activities in Europe supporting quality journalism.  Media Literacy for Global Education: Toolkit for Youth Multipliers North-South Centre of the Council of Europe | Council of Europe | European Union (EU) This toolkit targets youth multipliers and educators and gathers practical and contextual information about Media Literacy (ML) and its contribution to the field of Global Education (GE). Its activities and fact sheets are focused on non-formal learning contexts, but they can also be implemented in schools since the toolkit combines the most recent developments in GE, ML and Digital Citizenship Education useful to enrich formal school curricula. All the practical activities proposed in the toolkit are in line with the Competences for Democratic Culture and the Human Rights approach of the Council of Europe. The toolkit’s main aim is to empower practitioners on ML, but also to provide the wider public with the knowledge and tools to become more responsible and active citizens, offering activities focused on the critical analysis and production of media messages, analysis of algorithms, active participation in societies, maintenance of privacy, maintenance of well-being and management of e-identity.  Bank of Digital Task Sheets المؤلف المؤسسي: Council of Europe Around forty sheets of tasks anchored in real life and reflective tasks are available. The proposed tasks implement the didactic framework that promotes a socio-interactional approach and extends the usual typology of tasks with tasks anchored in real life. These tasks, carried out on online participatory sites, allow the people who carry them out to experience both authentic (inter)actions and digital citizenship.Alongside these tasks, reflective tasks invite learners to reflect on online practices and in particular on their own uses of digital technology. They are to be adapted according to the contexts of use and provide examples of the implementation of the approach defined in the Didactic Framework. Sloga Platforma | Bridge 47 SDG Talk with Martin Nesirky, director of UN Information Service Vienna about Sustainable Development Goals, implication od COVID-19 pandemic on education, Global Citizenship Education and more.SDG Talks was prepared in cooperation with the UN Association for Slovenia, as part of the Bridge 47 - Building Global Citizenship project. We all have much to gain from more open and connected societies yet misunderstanding, exclusion and discrimination continue to push identity and culture-based grievances towards conflict and violence, challenging the very foundations of sustainable and inclusive development. This report represents a first step in the UNESCO-IEP joint initiative to strengthen the evidence-base on dialogue for peace and development. Through mobilizing better data on effective dialogue, it is our sincere hope that policymakers and practitioners can better support meaningful and transformative dialogue, holistically supporting the aspirations of the 2030 Agenda. Through this, we hope to elevate dialogue as a connecting enabler of all pillars of UN action, accelerating progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals and making good on the promise of ‘leaving no one behind’.  Mesurer le dialogue interculturel: cadre conceptuel et technique سنة النشر: 2020 المؤلف: Ciara Aucoin | Euan Mackway-Jones | Marcel Smits المؤلف المؤسسي:
