International Forum on AI and the Futures of Education: Developing Competencies for the AI Era Synthesis Report; 7-8 December 2020 سنة النشر: 2021 المؤلف: Fengchun Miao | Wayne Holmes المؤلف المؤسسي: UNESCO This synthesis report has been developed by the UNESCO Unit for Technology and Artificial Intelligence in Education within the Future of Learning and Innovation Team, drawing on the International Forum on AI and the Futures of Education held in Beijing and simultaneously online from 7 to 8 December 2020.The Forum underlined the importance of reviewing the very purpose of education, together with the opportunity for real transformation, and the role that AI might play. It is widely acknowledged that current educational practices and educational environment are very rigid, and that the future of education should be more flexible and responsive to changing circumstances and innovation. National education authorities should identify what skills young people need to enable them to live and thrive in the new realities of a constantly changing world, and what digital transformation makes possible in the national and international context. In short, new education models are needed to put students at the centre, to move away from a focus on memorizing content, to integrate the digital and the analogue, and to foster human cognitive, socioemotional and critical skills, all of which might – with foresight and careful attention – be enabled by AI and other digital technologies. 
Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Development: Synthesis Report; Mobile Learning Week 2019 سنة النشر: 2019 المؤلف المؤسسي: UNESCO During the five-day event for Mobile Learning Week 2019, UNESCO gathered participants from around the world to share experiences, initiatives and plan joint actions with a view to harnessing artificial intelligence (AI) to achieve Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4. Education as a Tool for Prevention: Addressing and Countering Hate Speech (Expert Meeting: 13-18 May 2020) سنة النشر: 2021 المؤلف المؤسسي: UNESCO Addressing and countering hate speech is a multi-layered endeavour, which includes tackling its root causes and drivers, preventing it from translating into violence and dealing with its wider societal consequences.Within the framework of the Education 2030 Agenda, and more specifically target 4.7 of Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4), as well as the United Nations Strategy and Plan of Action on Hate Speech – which places specific emphasis on the role of education as a tool for addressing hate speech – UNESCO and the United Nations Office on the Prevention of Genocide and the Responsibility to Protect (OSAPG) convened a series of virtual meetings of experts from 13 to 18 May 2020. This report highlights some of the key discussion areas and unpacks the role of education as a preventive tool. It argues that strengthening educational responses to build the resilience of learners to exclusionary rhetoric and hate speech is paramount for sustainable development and peace for all.

These two organizations are dedicated to promoting international security and understanding through highlighting and developing the diverse human and cultural values of peace and encouraging dialogue based on recognition, respect for diversity, and observance of human rights. 
Global Citizenship Education: Comoros, Djibouti, Kenya, Madagascar, Mauritius and Seychelles سنة النشر: 2022 المؤلف المؤسسي: Организация Объединенных Наций по вопросам образования, науки и культуры (UNESCO) This is a collection of papers of a research project undertaken in six countries of the Eastern Africa region, namely, Comoros, Djibouti, Kenya, Madagascar, Mauritius and Seychelles to assess the Understanding and Implementation of SDG 4.7 on Global Citizenship Education (GCED) in each of the six countries.The research findings were shared by each of the six countries in a Webinar hosted by the UNESCO Nairobi Regional Office for Eastern Africa on September 23, 2021. The Webinar Agenda is contained in this publication along with the Opening and Closing Remarks made by UNESCO and Keynote Address by an affiliate UNESCO Chair in Africa.
