Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goal 4 in Korea سنة النشر: 2019 المؤلف المؤسسي: Korean National Commission for UNESCO | Korean Educational Development Institute (KEDI) This report takes stock of progress made in Korea towards achieving SDGs and sheds light on major policy implications for its further implementation. [Summary] 3rd Global Report on Adult Learning and Education: The Impact of Adult Learning and Education on Health and Well-being, Employment and the Labour Market, and Social, Civic and Community Life; Key Messages and Executive Summary سنة النشر: 2016 المؤلف المؤسسي: UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning (UIL) The third Global Report on Adult Learning and Education (GRALE III) draws on monitoring surveys completed by 139 UNESCO Member States to develop a differentiated picture of the global state of adult learning and education (ALE). It evaluates countries’ progress in fulfilling the commitments they made in the Belém Framework for Action, which was adopted at the Sixth International Conference on Adult Education (CONFINTEA VI) in 2009.In addition, the report examines the impact of ALE on three major areas: health and well-being; employment and the labour market; and social, civic and community life. GRALE III provides policymakers, researchers and practitioners with compelling evidence for the wider benefits of ALE across all of these areas. In so doing, it highlights some of the major contributions that ALE can make to realizing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. This report is guided by three goals: first, to analyse the results of a monitoring survey of UNESCO Member States, and to take stock of whether countries are fulfilling the commitments they made at CONFINTEA VI; second, to strengthen the case for adult learning and education with evidence of its benefits on health and well-being,employment and the labour market, and social, civic and community life; and third, to provide a platform for debate and action at national, regional and global levels. Learning Cities and the SDGs: A Guide to Action سنة النشر: 2017 المؤلف المؤسسي: UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning (UIL) This document is a Guide to Action for mainstreaming lifelong learning as a key driver to achieve the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The document seeks to facilitate the process of transforming global goals into local actions by showing concrete steps, which members of the UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities (GNLC) have taken to promote green and healthy environments, equity and inclusion as well as decent work and entrepreneurship. This Guide to Action is closely linked to the Cork Call to Action for Learning Cities, adopted by the participants of the third International Conference on Learning Cities, which took place from 18–20 September 2017 in Cork, Ireland. Guidelines on Open and Distance Learning for Youth and Adult Literacy سنة النشر: 2022 المؤلف المؤسسي: UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning (UIL) | Commonwealth of Learning Guidelines on open and distance learning for youth and adult literacy addresses a gap in literacy provision by presenting open and distance learning (ODL) principles and practices to illustrate how learning and education can be delivered at a distance.This publication is divided into two main parts. Part 1 presents practical guidance in four areas—planning, development, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation—and part 2 considers the various technologies that are used for ODL programmes and could support youth and adult literacy learning.Policy-makers, literacy providers and educators will benefit from understanding and applying the concept and principles of ODL in designing and delivering effective, inclusive and sustainable literacy programmes and learning opportunities— strengthening the resilience of their literacy programmes and expanding outreach and participation in the process.
