Eighth National Communication and Fifth Biennial Report of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change سنة النشر: 2023 المؤلف المؤسسي: UNDP Kazakhstan The 8th National Communication and the 5th Biennial Report of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change was prepared by a group of national experts under a joint project of the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the United Nations Development Programme in Kazakhstan with the financial support of the Global Environment Facility. The publication contains all available information on climate change issues in accordance with internationally available guidance. Information from open sources, data from national and international organizations, including governmental departments and agencies were used for composing this report. Combating Violence Against Women in Central Asia: New Laws, Old Practices سنة النشر: 2021 المؤلف المؤسسي: Paperlab Research Center (Kazakhstan) The problem of violence against women is still acute in Central Asian countries. According to the UN, 18% of women from the countries of this region reported that they had personally experienced domestic violence and discrimination. At the PaperLab online discussion platform, experts and researchers, together with representatives of civil society and government agencies, discussed the topic of combating gender-based violence in the context of legislative and programmatic measures that are being implemented in Central Asian countries.
