Women Influencing Multi-Stakeholder Peace Dialogue, Processes and Policy Spaces سنة النشر: 2023 المؤلف المؤسسي: United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) This paper seeks to draw lessons on how women have been participating as actors in influencing peace dialogue and processes related to the women, peace and security agenda in Europe and Central Asia. It also highlights challenges that need to be taken into consideration and offers recommendations to promote their greater contribution, influence, and participation in peace processes.

School of Psychology This article reports an effort to review the concept of school convivencia (peaceful coexistence, living together) in the Spanish context with the purpose of advancing into its clarification, and thus contributing to developing a common language in the Latin American region. The authors conduct a basic literature review oriented to identify the main theoretical approaches in the convivencia field. Subsequently, they analyze four studies focused in systematizing the prevailing approaches in the study of school convivencia. As a result, they propose a concept of convivencia from a social justice perspective adapted to education, and they operationalize it in three areas of school life: pedagogical-curricular, organizationaladministrative, and the socio-communitarian. This comprehensive notion of school convivencia may guide future research, educational initiatives, and school assessments in the convivencia field that may respond to the violence and pervasive social exclusion that exist in the Latin American region. School of Psychology El presente trabajo reporta un ejercicio de revisión del concepto de convivencia escolar con vistas a apoyar su clarificación y, por tanto, contribuir al desarrollo de un lenguaje común en la región latinoamericana. Para ello las autoras conducen un trabajo documental orientado a identificar los principales enfoques teóricos en la literatura de convivencia. Posteriormente analizan cuatro estudios enfocados a sistematizar los enfoques prevalecientes en el estudio de la convivencia escolar. Como resultado, proponen un concepto de convivencia desde la perspectiva de la justicia social adaptada a la educación y lo operacionalizan en tres ámbitos de la vida escolar: pedagógico-curricular, organizativo-administrativo y socio-comunitario. Esta noción comprehensiva de la convivencia escolar podría apoyar la realización de investigaciones futuras, propuestas educativas y evaluaciones de convivencia escolar que ofrezcan una respuesta a la violencia y a la persistente exclusión social que existe en la región latinoamericana.

The Associated Press will set up on the premises and roof of the UNESCO headquarters building, facing the Eiffel Tower, to record and broadcast its television programmes. The Agency will provide spectators with unique media coverage of the Games and offer original content on the social impact of sport and sports policies, in collaboration with UNESCO. 
한국 교육에 미친 외국 교육원조의 영향: 충남대-GTZ 프로젝트를 중심으로 (국제이해교육연구; Vol. 19, No. 2) سنة النشر: 2024 المؤلف: 박환보 المؤلف المؤسسي: 한국국제이해교육학회 본 연구는 해방 이후 한국 교육 형성에 있어 외국의 교육원조가 어떠한 역할을 했는지를 이해하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구에서는 1970-80년대 외국의 교육원조 사업 중 한 사례인 충남대학교-GTZ 협력 사업에 대한 사례 분석을 통해 독일 교육원조가 한국의 공업계 교원양성 교육과정에 구체적으로 어떠한 변화를 가져왔는지를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 당시 충남대 측의 사업책임자가 소장하고 있던 사업 관련 자료를 비롯해서, 사업에 참여한 독일인 전문가와 한국인 교수가 작성한 논문, 당시의 신문기사, 정부 공문서 등을 분석에 활용하였다. 분석결과에 따르면, 충남대-독일 GTZ 프로젝트는 기자재와 장비 활용이라는 기술적인 측면 외에 공업계 교원양성 교육과정의 개선에는 많 영향을 미치지 못했다. 사업 기간 중에 강조되었던 연구와 실험실습도 예산지원이 있었던 사업 기간 내에서만 제한적으로 진행되었고, 현장실습이나 연구과제 수행과 같은 독일식 교육과정이 수용되지 않았다. 이는 1950-60년대에 비해 1970-80년대는 어느 정도 제도교육의 기반을 갖추고 있었기 때문에, 외국 교육원조의 영향력도 제한적이었음을 시사한다. 
Global Priority Africa Flagships 2023: An Update from UNESCO Regional Office for Southern Africa سنة النشر: 2024 المؤلف المؤسسي: UNESCO Harare Two years into the implementation of the Operational Strategy for Priority Africa 2022-2029 (OSPA), a new biennium has commenced through the Programme and Budget for 2024-2025. With a goal of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations’ Agenda 2030 and the African Union’s Agenda 2063 “The Africa We Want”, the OSPA remains pivotal in accelerating the achievement of SDGs amidst a growing threat of regression and stagnation on some of the SDG targets. The relentless climatic changes have resulted in droughts and cyclones whose incessant rains have caused food insecurity, waterborne diseases and loss of biodiversity. Geopolitical crisis and the remnants of the impacts of COVID-19 continue to waylay the aspirations of the continent. Gender inequality, youth unemployment, education and HIV and AIDS continue to be areas for concern. Despite this plethora of challenges, Member States remain committed to Agenda 2030 and 2063 and the strong partnership existing with UNESCO and the rest of the UN system. While the OSPA is driven to address challenges in the areas of demography and sustainable development, education and knowledge, climate change, cultural renaissance, and peace and democracy these all have far-reaching consequences beyond their focus hence addressing these contributes widely to other thematic areas. Priority Africa reinforces UNESCO’s partnerships with African governing bodies such as the African Union (AU), Regional Economic Communities (RECs), Member States as well as other UN agencies. Being also aligned with the Southern African Development Community (SADC) and UNESCO’s Joint Programme of Action (JPA) 2022-2025, the OSPA continues to demonstrate its relevance to the region.
