Bilingualism Between Mother Tongue (Arabic) Acquisition and Foreign Language (English) Learning سنة النشر: 2015 المؤلف: Fuad Abdul Muttalib | Shafeeq Banat المؤلف المؤسسي: AlMamon University College This research work considers the importance of learning of foreign languages, especially English, and their role in education, research, knowledge transfer, language and cultural growth. Language overlapping, between English and Arabic, leads sometimes to acute problems. To approach these problems, the work tries to discuss the acquisition of children of their mother tongue, its expansion and its use creatively in different disciplines.The work tackles the attraction of English to some experts in their fields, the thing that drives them to look suspiciously and down at Arabic accusing it of incompetence to catch up with new changes. Since language overlapping is an old problem, this has entailed a reference to Iben Khaldoun’s diagnosis of it with commentary. The work asserts eventually the essential use of Arabic as a language of education, research, culture and knowledge production, without neglecting foreign languages learning, above all English. The work is carried out in the light of the available studies on this issue.

Encouraging internationalization to be mainstreamed throughout MENA is the objective that this report seeks to achieve by way of stimulating regional policy dialogue on the subject. The report presents some global trends in internationalization and details its main benefits, before providing an overview of the current status of internationalization in the MENA region, including an in-depth analysis of student mobility. In its reflections on the way forward for the region, the report situates its recommendations in the context of COVID-19, within which, despite serious challenges due to a lack of attractiveness of the region, MENA may find a key opportunity. It suggests that adapting to the “new normal” through the deeper implementation of internationalization “at home” – a dimension that does not require physical mobility and, being implemented within domestic environments, has a much wider reach – may help enable the region to make strides towards catching up on the internationalization agenda. Encourager le développement de l’internationalisation à travers la région MENA est l'objectif que ce rapport cherche à atteindre, en stimulant un dialogue régional sur les politiques publiques autour de ce sujet. وعي المرأة السعودية بحقوق العاملة المنزلية سنة النشر: 2016 المؤلف: Haya Saleh Saud Al Harbi المؤلف المؤسسي: King Saud University تهدف الدراسة على التعرف على مدى وعي المرأة السعودية بحقوق العاملة المنزلية المادية والنفسية والحية والاجتماعية. توصلت الدراسة الى اتفاق بأن العاملة يجب أن تحصل على غرفة مناسبة للإقامة وعلى المأكل الصحي، ومعاملتها بالطريقة الصحيحة. الدراسة تعطى فكرة واضحة لمدى فهم المرأة السعودية لاحتياجات العاملة المنزلية. The Saudi Woman Awareness about the Rights of the Housemaid سنة النشر: 2016 المؤلف: Haya Saleh Saud Al Harbi المؤلف المؤسسي: King Saud University The study aims to identify the extent of Saudi women's awareness of the physical, psychological, live and social rights of the domestic worker. The study reached an agreement that the worker should get a suitable room for accommodation and a healthy food, and treat her in the right way. The study gives a clear idea of the extent to which Saudi women understand the needs of the domestic worker.
