Bilingualism Between Mother Tongue (Arabic) Acquisition and Foreign Language (English) Learning Year of publication: 2015 Author: Fuad Abdul Muttalib | Shafeeq Banat Corporate author: AlMamon University College This research work considers the importance of learning of foreign languages, especially English, and their role in education, research, knowledge transfer, language and cultural growth. Language overlapping, between English and Arabic, leads sometimes to acute problems. To approach these problems, the work tries to discuss the acquisition of children of their mother tongue, its expansion and its use creatively in different disciplines.The work tackles the attraction of English to some experts in their fields, the thing that drives them to look suspiciously and down at Arabic accusing it of incompetence to catch up with new changes. Since language overlapping is an old problem, this has entailed a reference to Iben Khaldoun’s diagnosis of it with commentary. The work asserts eventually the essential use of Arabic as a language of education, research, culture and knowledge production, without neglecting foreign languages learning, above all English. The work is carried out in the light of the available studies on this issue.

En primer lugar, ofrecer un panorama de la situación de la primera infancia antes de la pandemia en América Latina, que permita identificar vulnerabilidades y riesgos del entorno físico-social que rodea a niños y niñas, y que pueden ser exacerbados por la pandemia y/o por las medidas adoptadas para contenerla. Para esto se presentan indicadores comparables, intentando priorizar al niño y a la niña como unidad principal de análisis. Asimismo, se usa la información más reciente de UNICEF y UNESCO para hacer seguimiento a la niñez en el periodo de afectación por la pandemia de la COVID-19. Philippine Education for All 2015 review report Year of publication: 2015 A country's vision of inclusive growth and development entails investment in human capital, particularly through the provision of quality basic education, competitive technical vocational skills training, and relevant and responsive higher education as stated in the Philippine Development Plan 2011-2016. The current administration has placed a high regard for education and has pushed for educational reforms that promote inclusive education especially for the marginalized. Education, being the priority of the government, has produced active public-private partnerhsips over the years both at the national and the school levels. The fruits of the past and the current EFA-related programs and projects resulted in increased performance of the country in most of the EFA indicators. However, at this time, which require greater efforts to accelerate and reach national EFA targets by 2015.
