Education in a Post-COVID World: Nine Ideas for Public Action Year of publication: 2020 Corporate author: UNESCO Decisions made today in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic will have longterm consequences for the futures of education. In this report the International Commission on the Futures of Education presents nine key ideas for navigating through the COVID-19 crisis and its aftermath, contending that we must build on core principles and known strengths as we face unprecedented disruption to economies, societies and education systems. In the renewal and reimaging of education human interaction and wellbeing must be given priority. This must also be accompanied by a commitment to global solidarity that does not accept the levels of inequality that have been permitted to emerge in the contemporary world 
Guide to Psychological and Educational Support for Displaced Children in Conditions of Wars and Disasters Year of publication: 2019 Author: Abdullah Almajadel Corporate author: Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) To activate the ALECSO initiative to educate Arab children in conflict zones, and in response to the need of millions of Arab children who were forced to leave their homes and schools due to the tensions, conflicts and wars that the Arab region has known in recent years, ALECSO launched this publication. As part of its efforts in this field to address the educational gap in order to enable learning facilitators, educators and families to accompany children and help them overcome the psychological and educational damage caused by the traumatic events they knew, ALECSO put in this publication strategies and plans to help displaced students due to war and conflicts. 
Curriculum and Training Manual: Reflection and Training in Adult Education Programs Year of publication: 2019 Author: Hadeel Gharaiba Corporate author: Child and Family Protection Association This curriculum and training manual is produced by the Training and Community Empowerment Center of the Family and Childhood Protection Association - Irbid. It was developed in cooperation with the German Association for Adult Education. It is a curriculum designed to help trainers and facilitators implement a set of exercises related to adult education programmes.This curriculum, and this guide, is the result of diligent work aimed at enhancing the capabilities of the Community Empowerment Center and its volunteers to prepare educational and training curricula and manuals that are based on the concepts of popular education. The topics of the guide came as a result of a number of programs and trainings implemented by the German Association for Adult Education, and as a basic need for the Training and Community Empowerment Center - Irbid.

7th Global Capacity-Building Workshop on GCED: Mentorship Programme Activity Report Year of publication: 2023 Corporate author: APCEIU This report summarizes 15 GCED projects implemented by the selected mentees/grantees of APCElU's 7th Global Capacity-Building Workshop on GCED in 2022. 15 GCED initiatives, including teacher training workshops, curriculum development, school-based activities, and community development projects, have been taken by educators, teachers, and practitioners in Asia, Europe, Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean. The mentees/grantees first participated in the 7th Global Capacity-Building Workshop on GCED in September 2022. After the completion of the Workshop, graduates submit the GCED proposals to be selected as the grantees/mentees. The selected 15 mentees/grantees are matched with expert mentors to be guided for their project development and implementation. This report describes the summary of 15 projects held in different corners of the world, along with its outputs.

5th Annual Meeting of the GCED Actors' Platform: Meeting Report Year of publication: 2023 Corporate author: APCEIU This meeting report provides the summary of the 5th Annual Meeting of the GCED Actors' Platform held on 20 October 2023. The report outlined the presentations from UNESCO, regional coordinators from 4 Regional GCED Networks (Arab States, Asia-Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean and Sub-Saharan Africa), including their achievements in advancing GCED in their respective regions over the past year and discussion on potential ways to strengthen GCED implementation on both regional and global levels.

Global citizenship assumes ease of participation in global spaces in which persons are media and information literate and are equipped with competencies and attitudes to deal with the multi-faceted nature of a mediated world in which information is no longer bound by space or time. The unprecedented access to and use of media and Internet technologies for communication and collaboration especially among youth, suggest that effective strategies must be found to enable active critical inquiry and effective media production. The proliferation of mediated spaces throughout education environments, as well as personal and professional environments, does not in itself guarantee that citizens will consider their role as global citizens as they create and consume media. This awareness must be cultivated, encouraged and taught.The 2014 MILID Yearbook brings together a range of reviewed articles, which articulate the theme of global citizenship from varied perspectives and regions of the world. The articles represent different expressions on media and information literacy from researchers and practitioners who offer bold new strategies, share research findings and best practices, and share musings and reflections.
