Effectiveness of Integrating Reciprocal Teaching and Science Stations Strategies in Teaching Science on Developing Some Science Hand Skills among Eighth Grade Female Pupils in Thamar City (Arts for Educational & Psychological Studies; Vol.5, No.3) Year of publication: 2023 Author: Nabeeha Saleh Abdulmoghni, Mohammed Ebrahim Al-San Corporate author: Dhamar University This study aimed to identify the impact of integrating reciprocal teaching and science stations strategies in teaching science on developing some science hand skills among Eighth-grade female pupils in Thamar City. To achieve the study objectives, the descriptive analytical method and the quasi-experimental design of the two groups, with pre and post measurements, were used. The data collection tools included: a checklist for analyzing Unit 7 (Nutrition in Living Organisms), and unit 8 (The Relationship of what you eat to your Health) in the respective textbook; a checklist of science hand skills to be developed; and an observation sheet of the skills, covering three main skills: (carrying out scientific experiments correctly- designing and drawing shapes and illustrations correctly- following safety rules in the laboratory). After testing the validity and reliability of the tools, and administering them to the study sample, a number of results were revealed. More specifically, there were statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the pupils of the experimental and control groups in the science hand skills, attributed to the experimental group due to the integrative approach. The results of the study concluded that there is no legislation in the Higher Education Law and its implementing regulations, the faculty members are obligated to publish scientific research other than the research required for promotion, and the absence of a specialized journal in the field of sports and physical education sciences in Yemeni public and private universities (other than what is given by the Al-Bayda University Journal From a space for mathematical science research), which made external publishing more than internal publishing, in addition to the high publishing cost, stopping salaries and not calculating the financial settlement of promotions, which contributed to the decline in scientific publishing. Egyptian identity is presented not only through archaeological sites and Ancient Egyptian civilization, but also through Egypt’s diverse living heritage. More than simply showing who they are today, this living heritage tells the story of how the Egyptians arrived at this point over the generations.To celebrate this identity and strengthen national capacities to safeguard it, UNESCO, alongside the Egyptian government and civil society, implemented the project Strengthening National Capacities for Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage in Egypt for Sustainable Development, which ran from June 2018 to June 2021.The project focused on community-based inventorying of living heritage. This involved training workshops and a pilot community-based inventorying exercise, which took place in six different locations throughout Egypt (Cairo, Fayoum, Gharbeya, Aswan, Assuit, and Marsa Matrouh). Thanks to the project, participating community practitioners and heritage bearers are now equipped to inventory their own living heritage. • This pilot was Egypt’s first step to establishing a national inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) under the Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with community practitioners. • This publication provides recommendations on how to further enhance national capabilities for ICH safeguarding and how to advance community engagement in the inventorying processes in Egypt. The study sample consisted of (100) male and female teachers. The study used the questionnaire tool, which included (30) items. In terms of the first objective, which is teachers' attitudes towards integrating people with special needs in regular schools, the study concluded that teachers had attitudes towards inclusion, and it also showed the significance of differences in teachers' attitudes toward inclusion according to gender variables (males, females) and years of service (15), One year and less) and (16 years and over). Also, it indicated that there are differences due to female gender in the trend towards integration. The study sample consisted of 92 teachers of learning disabilities (58) males and (34) females. To achieve the study objectives, the descriptive survey method was used by designing a questionnaire to collect the study data. The study revealed many interesting findings, the most important of which is teachers’ insufficient knowledge of the necessary curriculum modifications needed to meet the needs of their students during distance education. The results also revealed statistically significant differences in teachers’ responses to distance education challenges facing students with learning disabilities in the primary schools due to gender differences, in favor of males. Based on these results, it was recommended that effective educational alternatives be provided by educational institutions in the case of communication problems or internet outages. These alternatives would enable students with learning disabilities to continue learning and get the fullest benefits.
