Сегодня мы являемся свидетелями растущего международного признания принципов образования в интересах устойчивого развития (ОУР) как неотъемлемого элемента качественного образования и ключевого фактора устойчивого развития. В Маскатском соглашении, принятом на Глобальном совещании по программе «Образование для всех» в 2014 г., а также в предложении по целям в области устойчивого развития (ЦУР), подготовленном Рабочей группой открытого состава Генеральной Ассамблеи ООН по ЦУР, образование в интересах устойчивого развития фигурирует в числе целей, предложенных к включению в повестку дня на период после 2015 г.В 2013 г. 37-я сессия Генеральной конференции ЮНЕСКО одобрила Глобальную программу действий (ГПД) по ОУР в качестве деятельности по итогам Десятилетия образования в интересах устойчивого развития Организации Объединенных Наций (2005-2014 гг.).Развивая достигнутые в рамках Десятилетия успехи, ГПД направлена на осуществление конкретной деятельности в области ОУР и расширение ее масштабов. Цель настоящей Дорожнойкарты – информировать директивные органы, заинтересованные стороны и участников о принятии государствами – членами ЮНЕСКО Глобальной программы действий и представить предложения по осуществлению ГПД, а также информацию о роли ЮНЕСКО в ее реализации. 
From insult to inclusion: Asia-Pacific report on school bullying, violence and discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity Year of publication: 2015 Corporate author: UNESCO This review recognises the complexity in terminology globally, and within the region, on sex, sexuality and gender. For simplicity, ‘SOGIE-based bullying, violence and discrimination’ is used to refer to the various anifestations of violence and exclusion based on gender discrimination, gender role expectations and stereotypes, intersex prejudice, and societal expectations for heterosexual relationships. This is sometimes referred to as homophobic or transphobic bullying, violence and discrimination. This report considers violence experienced by children and young people because of actual or perceived sexual orientation and gender identity or expression, or because their bodies differ from typical definitions of male or female. The term ‘LGBTI people/youth’ is used in this report when inclusive of intersex persons, and LGBT when the situation or needs of intersex people/ youth have not been considered. Local terms and those from original studies are also included, and the glossary provides information for readers on concepts and terms in this report. Comparative study of textbooks: working document in the framework of the Euro-Arab Dialogue; summary report Year of publication: 2015 Author: Jacqueline Costa-Lascoux | Janine d'Artois Pursuant to the Charter of the United Nations and the Constitution of UNESCO, calling for peace between peoples and respect for cultural diversity, several National Commissions for UNESCO have taken the initiative to create the conditions for a Euro-Arab dialogue in the field of education. The French and Moroccan National Commissions, in particular, have decided to launch studies to highlight stereotypes, misunderstandings and subliminal bias about Arab countries in European textbooks and about European countries in textbooks in the Arab world. First, these studies were conducted by researchers focusing on their own countries' textbooks in order to analyse how the history of the countries on "the other side of the Mediterranean" was represented. Second, a common methodology was developed to allow comoparative approaches favourable to Euro-Arab dialogue. This was to address any mutual bias or misrepresentations that may exist between the two regions and to work togehter to find ways of preventing and combating them. The originality of the approach was to conduct a critical analysis of textbooks published in each country and then underetake a comparative study to be used as the basis for common recommendations. Participants in this project initiated by the National Commissions defined three main objectives: 1. To strengthen dialogue, laying the foundations for learning to live together, based on mutual respect. 2. To help National Commissions for UNESCO, experts, institutions and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to find ways to work together in areas of research of common interest. 3. To contribute to UNESCO's efforts to develop a stretegy relating to textbooks, to improve the quality of education for peace, human rights, mutual understanding and intercultural dialogue.

The author reveals and clarifies the complexity of the water conflicts, drawing on years of experience facilitating and chairing water negotiations in the region. The bottom line is: Unless the countries involved co-operate, the consequences will be devastating. The lack of plentiful and clean water for the people will not only result in severe human suffering, but could also have grave geopolitical consequences.

As such, water shortages and lack of access may limit economic growth in the years to come, according to the World Water Development Report 2016. From its collection, through various uses, to its ultimate return to the natural environment, water is a key factor in the development of job opportunities either directly related to its management (supply, infrastructure, wastewater treatment, etc.) or in economic sectors that are heavily water-dependent such as agriculture, fishing, power, industry and health. In its analysis of the economic impact of access to water, the report cites numerous studies that show a positive correlation between investments in the water sector and economic growth. It also highlights the key role of water in the transition to a green economy.
