Inaugural Meeting of the GCED Actors' Platform: Final Report Year of publication: 2020 Corporate author: APCEIU This final report gives an overview of discussions and outcomes from the “Inaugural Meeting of the GCED Actors’ Platform” on 2 September 2019 in Seoul, Republic of Korea, held back-to-back with the 4th International Conference on GCED (3-4 September 2019, Seoul) In line with the call for closer collaboration on GCED inter-regionally, the GCED Actors’ Platform was launched by UNESCO Headquarters and APCEIU in 2019. Convening regional coordinators and different partners working on GCED, the “Inaugural Meeting of the GCED Actors’ Platform” provided an open space for the participants to discuss ways to coordinate activities and promote synergies.The regional representatives have imparted their own experiences and challenges on the ground and shared best practices of facilitating GCED. 
The GCED Actors' Platform and the Regional GCED Networks Initiative: Activating Partnerships for Global Citizenship Education Year of publication: 2020 Corporate author: APCEIU This brief publication introduces and summarizes the flagship GCED Network initiatives supported by APCEIU implemented globally and regionally.UNESCO Headquarters and APCEIU co-convened the launch of the GCED Actors’ Platform in which gathered key partners across the globe and representing five Regional GCED Networks. These five Regional GCED Networks include Sub-Saharan Africa, Arab States, Asia-Pacific, Europe and North America, and Latin America and the Caribbean are formed to identify regional priorities and implement regional strategies to promote GCED. The publication also showcases successful independent activities by organizations part of the GCED Network initiative. 
Asia-Pacific Teacher Exchange for Global Education Year of publication: 2019 Corporate author: APCEIU | Korea R. Ministry of Education Asia-Pacific Teacher Exchange for Global Education (APTE) is a bilateral teacher exchange programme between the Republic of Korea and Asia-Pacific partner countries, hosted by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea and implemented by the Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding under the auspices of UNESCO (APCEIU) in collaboration with the Ministries of Education of the partner countries. Launched with two partenr countries -- Mongolia and the Philippines -- in 2012, APTE has grown into a well-known regional programme, now working with seven partner countries in the Asia-Pacific region -- Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. 다문화가정 대상국가와의 교육교류사업 Year of publication: 2019 Corporate author: 유네스코 아시아태평양 국제이해교육원 | Korea R. 17th Asia-Pacific Training Workshop on EIU: Final Report Year of publication: 2017 Author: Yeonwoo Lee | Grace Na Corporate author: APCEIU Since its establishment in 2001, APCEIU has been organizing capacity building training workshops on Education for International Understanding (EIU) for educators to promote a Culture of Peace through education. The critical importance of preparing educators towards building a more peaceful and sustainable world has been reaffirmed by the increased attention to GCED (Global Citizenship Education), with the adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Education 2030 Framework for Action in 2015. Fostering global citizenship is in line with EIU’s core values in terms of the promotion of learning to live together to make a more just, peaceful, and inclusive society.The Asia-Pacific Training Workshop on EIU (APTW), APCEIU’s flagship programme, aims to enhance participants’ knowledge, skills, and commitment to EIU and GCED and enable them to competently design and implement EIU/GCED activities in their local and national contexts. Designed as a Training of Trainers (TOT), the APTW not only encompasses key themes and concepts surrounding EIU/GCED, but also has a strong focus on creative methodologies and approaches to teach EIU/GCED. In order to achieve this goal, this intensive 9-day training workshop includes lectures, discussions, workshops, in-depth seminars, field visits, action plan development in small groups where participants can learn from one another and from the experiences they encounter during the workshop. Furthermore, participants are encouraged to plan and carry out their own training workshops to spread the messages of EIU/GCED after their participation in the workshop.This workshop is sponsored by Ministry of Education and partnered with UNESCO Bangkok, supported by Korea Funds-in-Trust. 28 teacher educators/trainers in the Asia-Pacific region participated in the workshop and strengthened their understanding of Global Citizenship Education and discussed pedagogy, and action planning to practice GCED at national and international levels. This report provides an overview, summary, photographs and other information about the 17th Asia-Pacific Workshop on EIU (APTW). 
4th Youth Leadership Workshop on GCED: Final Report Year of publication: 2018 Corporate author: APCEIU This report provides an overview of the activities and outcomes of the 4th Youth Leadership Workshop on GCED held in Seoul, Republic of Korea from 20 - 26May 2018.The 4th Youth Leadership Workshop on GCED invited 48 dynamic youth leaders around the world including those from developing countries and representatives of marginalized groups, and focused on developing effective advocacy strategies to maximize youth contribution in achieving SDG 4.7 through promotion of global citizenship. 
3rd Global Capacity-Building Workshop on GCED: Final Report Year of publication: 2018 Corporate author: APCEIU This report provides an overview of the activities and outcomes of the 3rd Global Capacity-Building Workshop on GCED held in Seoul, Republic of Korea from 29 August - 11 September 2018.APCEIU organized the 3rd Global Capacity-Building Workshop on GCED with the aim of enhancing the capacities of teacher educators in developing countries on utilizing GCED. This 2-week intensive workshop provided participants opportunities to better understand the concept and principles of GCED, while engaging in meaningful dialogues and sharing experiences with educators from different countries, cultures, and contexts, and to develop their own action plans.
