Global Citizenship Education: An Emerging Perspective Year of publication: 2014 Corporate author: UNESCO This document draws on inputs to, and common perspectives emerging from, a Technical Consultation on Global Citizenship Education organized by UNESCO and the Republic of Korea (i.e., the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and of Education, and the Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding) in Seoul on 9-10 September 2013 . Informing this draft document are: a) responses from the expert participants to a questionnaire circulated by UNESCO in advance of the consultation; b) presentations from experts during the consultation; c) discussions during the consultation; and d) reference material contributing to, and prepared for, the consultation. The final draft of this document was prepared by UNESCO’s Division of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development at Headquarters in Paris, with the assistance of a drafting team.

Informer ce projet de document sont: a) les réponses des participants d'experts à un questionnaire diffusé par l'UNESCO à l'avance de la consultation; b) des présentations d'experts lors de la consultation; c) des discussions au cours de la consultation; et matériel d) de référence contribuant à, et préparé pour la consultation. 글로벌시민교육: 새로운 교육의제 Year of publication: 2014 Corporate author: UNESCO 본 문서는 2013년 9월 9-10일 서울에서 개최된, 우리 정부(외교부, 교육부)와 유네스코가 공동 주최하고 유네스코 아시아태평양 국제이해교육원이 실행 기관으로 참여한 ‘글로벌 시민교육 전문가회의(Technical Consultation on Global Citizenship Education)에 기초하여 작성되었다. 본 문서에는 a) 사전 설문지에 대한 전문가들의 응답, b) 전문가들의 회의 발표(프레젠테이션) 내용, 3) 회의에서의 토론 내용 및 d) 참고 자료 및 레퍼런스가 수록되어 있다. 본 문서의 최종본은 파리 유네스코 본부의 ‘평화와 지속 가능 발전을 위한 교육(Education for Peace and Sustainable Development)’ 부서가 작성하였다.

3rd Youth Leadership Workshop on GCED: Final Report Year of publication: 2017 Corporate author: APCEIU This report provides an overview of the activities carried out during the 3rd Youth Leadership Workshop on Global Citizenship Education (GCED) held in Jeju, Republic of Korea, from 28 May - 3 June 2017. This programme invited 50 youth activists from 43 countries around the world to exchange their ideas and identify GCED leadership strategies in order to mobilize young people for GCED in local and national contexts and advance the agenda globally. This report also aims to convey the voice of the youth represented by GCED Youth Network: their thoughts and reflections on GCED and its priority areas. The workshop was organized by APCEIU and in partnership with GCED Youth Network, Jeju Forum for Peace and Prosperity, Jaejudo Joa and Global Inner Peace; it was sponsored by Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea and Jeju Special Self-Governing Province.For more information, please contact APCEIU's Office of Education and Training at ent@unescoapceiu.org.

제3차 세계시민교육 청년리더십 워크숍: 최종보고서 Year of publication: 2017 Corporate author: APCEIU 본 보고서는 2017년 5월 28일부터 6월 3일까지 제주에서 열린 ‘제3차 세계시민교육 청년리더십 워크숍(3rd Youth Leadership Workshop on GCED)’에서 이루어진 활동 개요를 제공한다. 이 워크숍은 유네스코 아태교육원 주최, 세계시민교육 청년네트워크, 평화와 번영을 위한 제주포럼, 재주도좋아, 글로벌 이너피스가 파트너로 참여하였으며, 대한민국 교육부 및 제주특별자치도청이 후원하였다. 이 프로그램에는 전세계 43개국 50명의 청년활동가들이 참가하여 세계시민교육에 대한 아이디어를 교환하며, 세계시민교육을 전 세계적으로 확산하고 지역·국가적 차원의 청년활동을 증진하기 위한 리더십 전략을 논의하였다. 본 보고서는 7일간의 워크숍 활동들에 대한 기록과 더불어 세계시민교육의 주체인 청년들을 대표하여 세계시민교육 청년 네트워크가 생각하는 세계시민교육의 의미와 우선 과제들에 대한 목소리를 담고자 했다. 문의: 유네스코 아태교육원 교육연수실(ent@unescoapceiu.org)

GCED Teacher's Guidebook Bridging Global Citizenship and World Heritage Year of publication: 2016 Corporate author: APCEIU APCEIU, in collaboration with Arts-ED Penang, a non-profit organisation for art and culture education, has published a Global Citizenship Education(GCED) Teacher’s Guidebook Bridging Global Citizenship and World Heritage. This guidebook was developed as a project of GCED Material Development on World Heritage, in order to promote awareness of cultural diversity as well as mutual understanding. 함께 사는 세상 만들기 Year of publication: 2004 Corporate author: APCEIU This book, in essence, aims to introduce Education for International Understanding (EIU) to high school students, college students and teachers at all levels as well as the general public. The growing interconnectedness and interdependence compels all of us to understand the world beyond our immediate living space, to critically reflect on issues affecting us and others, and to work together to make our world a more peaceful and sustainable one. It requires values education that is transformative and participatory in nature to arouse genuine interests and passions to learn more and eventually to make positive changes. The book is comprised of five parts, organized by five thematic areas of EIU, namely, intercultural understanding, globalization, human rights, peace and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). It introduces carefully chosen topics and discussions which may pique readers’ interest in some of the issues at stake, thus, encourage them to critically reflect on the complexities surrounding the issues and motivate them to engage further. Using an interdisciplinary lens, the book also borrows some ideas and approaches commonly practiced in critical anthropology.

함께 사는 세상 만들기 Year of publication: 2004 Corporate author: APCEIU 유네스코 아시아태평양 국제이해교육원에서는 국제이해교육을 가르치는 교사와 배우고자 하는 고등학생들에게 도움을 주기 위하여 고등학생을 위한 국제이해교육 교재를 출간하게 되었습니다우리 교육원은 아시아·태평양 지역의 45개 나라들과 함께 국제이해교육을 학교와 시민사회에서 강화하고 발전시킬 책임을 부여받았기 때문에, 여러가지 국제 회의와 연수과정, 전문가 협의회 등을 통해 이 과목의 교육 내용과 교과 과정에 대한 그림을 그려보는 노력을 부단히 전개하고 있습니다. 우리 교육원은 국내·외 여러 전문가들과 함께 많은 토론을 거쳐 국제이해교육의 기본 골격을 ① 문화 간 이해, ② 세계화, ③ 인권, ④ 평화, ⑤ 지속가능발전의 다섯 가지로 정했으며, 이를 바탕으로 초·중·고 국제이해교육 교육과정을 개발했습니다.우리 교육원은 앞으로 수년간 이러한 토대 위에서 교육자료나 수업 모형 등을 개발해보려고 합니다. 이번에 발간되는 교재 『함께 사는 세상 만들기』도 이러한 노력의 한 결실입니다. 이 책이 세계화 시대의 사회구조와 문제들을 파악하고, 함께 살 수 있는 가치관과 태도를 길러주는 데 크게 도움이 될 수 있기를 바랍니다.
