Literacy and Life Skills Assessment of Syrian Youth (2021): Summary Report Year of publication: 2022 Corporate author: UNESCO Beirut The Syrian crisis has caused disruptions to children’s and youth’s education for over a decade. The COVID-19 pandemic, with the related school closures, has added an additional burden to the existing situation, impacting learning outcomes worldwide. Assessing the status of Syrian youth’s competencies in literacy, numeracy and life skills, is essential in order to plan and implement better programmes to help them catch up on their learning losses. The ultimate goal is to support them to be able to go back into the main education streams or provide them with basic skills to cope with daily needs in their personal and professional environments.The ‘Literacy and Life Skills Assessment of Syrian Youth’ (LLASY) study measures current literacy and numeracy levels, as well as life skills of the youth of Syria of the 15 to 24 age group currently living inside the country. The sample includes youth, female and male, who are enrolled in educational or training institutions, as well as those who are out of them.

فاعلية الألعاب الالكترونية التعليمية في تنمية بعض المهارات الصحية لدى أطفال التوحد - دراسة شبه تجريبيَّة في محافظة اللاذقية (مجلة جامعة تشرين للبحوث والدراسات العلمية ، الآداب والعلوم الإنسانية ، المجلد 43 ، العدد 5) Year of publication: 2021 Author: Raneem Jablawi Corporate author: Tishreen University هدف البحث إلى التحقق من فاعلية الألعاب الالكترونية التعليمية في تنمية بعض المهارات الصحية لدى عينة من أطفال التوحد في محافظة اللاذقية، تتراوح أعمارهم ما بين (5 - 6) سنوات، وبلغت عينة البحث (12) طفل توحدي، تم تقسيمها إلى مجموعة تجريبية مؤلفة من (8) أطفال ومجموعة ضابطة مؤلفة من (8) أطفال. ولتحقيق هذا الهدف استخدمت الباحثة المنهج شبه التجريبي. وقد خضع أطفال المجموعة التجريبية لمجموعة من الألعاب الالكترونية التعليمية بهدف تطوير المهارات الصحية لديهم.أظهرت النتائج وجود فروق دالة إحصائياً بين متوسط درجات أطفال المجموعة التجريبية ومتوسط درجات أطفال المجموعة الضابطة على اختبار المهارات الصحية بعد تطبيق الألعاب الالكترونية التعليمية وذلك لصالح أطفال المجموعة التجريبية، ووجدت فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسط درجات أطفال المجموعة التجريبية على اختبار المهارات الصحية في التطبيقين القبلي والبعدي، لصالح التطبيق البعدي. كما أظهرت نتائج الدراسة عدم وجود فروق دالة إحصائياً بين متوسط درجات أطفال المجموعة التجريبية في التطبيق البعدي ومتوسط درجاتهم في التطبيق المؤجل على اختبار المهارات الصحية.وفي ضوء النتائج أوصت الباحثة إجراء دراسات حول استخدام الألعاب الالكترونية التعليمية في تنمية أنواع مختلفة من المفاهيم والمهارات لدى أطفال التوحد، وإجراء دراسات أخرى حول إعداد برامج لأطفال التوحد لتنمية مهارات مختلفة لديهم. 
دراسة تحليلية لقيم المواطنة المتضمنة في كتاب المواطنة وحقوق الانسان للصف الثاني الثانوي Year of publication: 2016 Author: Maisaa Hamza Corporate author: Association of Arab Educators استهدفت الدراسة التعرف على قيم المواطنة السياسية والاجتماعية والإقتصادية المتضمنة بکتاب المواطنة وحقوق الإنسان للصف الثانى الثانوى 2014/2015 ، وکذلک وضع تصور مقترح لتضمين قيم المواطنة اللازمة لطلاب المرحلة الثانوية، وقد أعدت الباحثة استمارة تحليل لمحتوى الکتاب فى ضوء أبعاد المواطنة الثلاثة، وتوصلت الدراسة إلى اهتمام وترکيز الکتاب على القيم السياسية والإجتماعية للمواطنة، وإهمال القيم الإقتصادية، حيث بلغت نسبة انتشار القيم السياسية (54.7%) من إجمالى قيم المواطنة بالکتاب ، بينما بلغت نسبة انتشار القيم الإجتماعية (40.8%)، أما القيم الإقتصادية فقد بلغت نسبة انتشارها (4.39%). و تعد قيمة الإنتماء أکثر القيم انتشاراً بالنسبة للبعد السياسى للمواطنة ،حيث بلغت نسبتها (23.69%) يليها قيمة الإعتزاز بالهوية الوطنية بنسبة(23.29%)، کما تعد قيمة التسامح أکثر القيم انتشاراً بالنسبة للبعد الإجتماعى للمواطنة، حيث بلغت نسبتها (32.79%) يليها العمل التطوعى بنسبة (30.10%)،أما قيمة احترام العمل فکانت أکثر القيم انتشاراً بالنسبة للبعد الإقتصادى للمواطنة، حيث بلغت نسبتها (50 %) يليها المحافظة على الممتلکات العامة والخاصة بنسبة(35 %) ، ثم استغلال الوقت بنسبة (15 %) ، بينما أغفل الکتاب قيمة ترشيد الاستهلاک. An Analytical Study of the Values of Citizenship Involved in the Book of Citizenship and Human Rights for Second Year Secondary Year of publication: 2016 Author: Maisaa Hamza Corporate author: Association of Arab Educators The study aimed to identify the political, social and economic citizenship values included in the book of citizenship and human rights for second year secondary 2014/2015.It also aimed at suggesting a proposal to include the citizenship values required for secondary school students, The researcher conducted content analysis of the book in the light of the three dimensions of citizenship. the study revealed that. The focus and attention of the book is mainly on the political values (54.7%) and social values(40.8%) of citizenship.However It extremely ignored economic values(4.39%), The value of “belonging “is the most common value in The Dimension of the political citizenship, which represented (23.69%), followed by the value of “Being Proud at national identity” (23.29%), It also revealed that The value of “Tolerance” is the most common value in The Dimension of the social citizenship, which represented(32.79%), followed by the value of “Voluntary work”(30.10%), finally The value of “Respect Work “is the most common value in The Dimension of the economic citizenship, which represented(50%), followed by the value of “Province on Public and Private Property”(35%), and then the value of “Use The Time”(15%), while the book ignored the value of “Rationalize Consumption”.
