In the Age of Lifelong Education, a Study on the Meaning of Teachers: Focused on the Plato’s Thought (The Journal of Korean Teacher Education; Vol. 36, No. 3) Year of publication: 2019 Author: 허지숙 Corporate author: 한국교원교육학회 The purpose of this study is to explore the essential meaning and role of teachers through Plato's educational thought. For this purpose, based on the four principles of UNESCO Lifelong Education, we examine how changes in and out of school and the role of teachers are required. Then, after reviewing Sophist, Socrates, Plato's Philosopher, and the metaphors of Cave from Plato's point of view, it reveals what meaning and value of the teacher image presented by Plato in today's lifelong education.Research shows that the role of teachers in the age of lifelong education is becoming more and more important, but this does not mean simply changing roles as guides and advisors. the changed face of the teacher is an ethical trainer to enrich their lives from a knowledge transferer, a collaborative learner through conversations and discussions outside the teacher-student relationship, a practitioner of inclusive teaching among learning alienation, learning inequality, a teacher as a lifelong learner who loves wisdom. This suggests implications for teachers 'new possibilities and meanings beyond the existing teacher' s role in the fall of the ruling right and the right of learning.

평생교육시대, 교사의 의미 탐색: 플라톤의 교육사상을 중심으로 (한국교원교육연구 제36권 제3호) Year of publication: 2019 Author: JiSuk Huh Corporate author: Korean Society for the Study of Teacher Education 본 연구는 평생교육시대의 변화에 부합하는 교사의 모습에 대한 재탐색이 필요하다는 문제의식 하에, 플라톤의 교육사상을 중심으로 교사의 본질적 의미와 역할에 대해 탐구하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 먼저 UNESCO 평생교육의 네 가지 원리를 근거로 학교의 안팎의 변화와 교사의 역할이 어떻게 요구되고 있는지를 고찰하였다. 다음으로 플라톤의 관점에서 바라본 소피스트, 소크라테스, 플라톤의 철인, 동굴의 비유에 대해 살펴본 후, 플라톤이 제시한 교사상이 오늘날 평생교육시대에서 어떤 의미와 가치가 있는지 밝히고, 그 속에 내포된 교사로서의 역할과 의미를 구체적으로 탐색하였다.연구결과, 평생교육시대의 교사의 역할은 점점 더 중요해지고 있으나 이는 단순히 안내자, 조언자로서의 단순한 역할 변화를 의미하는 것이 아니다. 평생교육시대 교사의 변화된 모습은 지식전달자로부터 삶을 풍성하게 살아가기 위한 윤리적 훈련가로, 교사-학생의 관계에서 벗어나 대화와 토론을 통한 공동의 학습자로, 학습소외, 학습 불평등 가운데 포용적 교수의 실천가로, 열망을 가지고 끊임없이 배우는 생성적 존재로 모색된다. 이를 통해 오늘날 추락하는 교권과 학습권의 자리다툼 가운데 기존 교사의 역할을 넘어 교사가 지닌 새로운 가능성과 의미에 대해 시사점을 제안하였다.

Statement of International Development NGOs of Korea on the Global Fight against COVID-19 Year of publication: 2020 Corporate author: Korea NGO Council for Overseas Development Cooperation (KCOC) The recent outbreak of COVID-19 has become a global crisis. Since the WHO declared it as a pandemic on March 11, we’ve seen an exponential growth of the numbers of confirmed cases and deaths across the world. No one can predict a peak or duration of the crisis at this point.As the U.S. and European countries with relatively effective healthcare infrastructure are also struggling with the pandemic, the magnitude of damages on developing countries would be unimaginable. It would be extremely difficult for vulnerable states to tackle the crisis by themselves. Now is the time that we forge international solidarity and find solutions together.

국제사회의 코로나19 퇴치를 위한 한국 국제개발협력 시민사회단체들의 호소문 Year of publication: 2020 Corporate author: Korea NGO Council for Overseas Development Cooperation (KCOC) 코로나19가 전 지구적 위기로 다가왔습니다. 지난 3월 11일 세계보건기구(WHO)가 팬데믹을 선언한 이래, 전 세계 확진자 및 사망자의 수가 기하급수적으로 증가하고 있고, 그 정점이 어디인지, 언제까지 이 사태가 계속될지 누구도 예측하지 못하는 상황입니다.보건 의료 인프라가 잘 갖춰진 미국과 유럽에서조차 팬데믹의 영향이 심각한 상황임을 감안할 때, 향후 개발도상국(이하 개도국)이 받게 될 피해의 정도를 가늠하기 어렵습니다. 취약한 나라일수록 스스로의 노력만으로 현 위기 상황을 타개하기란 매우 어렵기에 우리는 지금부터 국제적으로 연대하고 공동으로 해결방안을 모색해야 합니다. 또한 개도국의 감염예방 및 치료를 돕는 것이 곧 우리의 안전을 지키는 일이며, 필수적이고도 선제적인 예방책이 될 것이라는 점을 기억해야 합니다.

A Study on Information Literacy in Social Media Age: Focusing on Redefinition, Contents and Media of Information Literacy Year of publication: 2013 Author: Euikyung Oh Corporate author: Korean Society for Library and Information Science This study redefines information literacy (IL) and recommends its contents and media (platforms). Redefinition of IL was based on concepts such as ‘Information Literacy 2.0’, ‘Social Context’, ‘Metaliteracy’, ‘Transliteracy’, ‘Social Media Literacy’ and related researches. ‘Social Relationship’, ‘Media Convergence’, ‘Critical and Evaluative Insight on Information’ was extracted by major contents of new IL. To determine program methods, mass media’s ‘ubiquity’ was applied to the study. Some social statistics reports proved that ubiquity of social media is quite high. Finally, proposed empirical study of IL using social media by follow-up study.)

소셜미디어 시대의 정보리터러시에 관한 소고: 재정의, 교육내용, 교육방법을 중심으로 Year of publication: 2013 Author: Euikyung Oh Corporate author: Korean Society for Library and Information Science 본 연구는 정보리터러시의 개념을 재정의하고, 이를 바탕으로 정보리터러시의 교육내용과 교육방법을 제안하였다. 재정의를 위하여, 오늘날의 정보환경을 표현하는 정보리터러시 2.0, 사회적 맥락, 메타리터러시, 트랜스리터러시, 소셜미디어 리터러시의 개념을 조사, 분석하였다. 정보리터러시를 구성하는 주요 요소로 ‘사회적 관계’, ‘미디어 융합과 다양성 인식’, ‘정보에 대한 평가적 안목’ 등을 추출하였다. 교육의 방법(미디어)을 결정하기 위하여, 소셜미디어의 편재성을 조사하였고, 조사결과 소셜미디어는 편재성이 높은 미디어로서, 정보리터러시 교육에 활용되는 것이 적절함을 밝혔다. 후속연구로 소셜미디어를 활용한 정보리터러시 교육에 관한 실증적 연구가 수행되어야 할 것을 제안하였다.

Bridge Zambia Project Report Year of publication: 2019 Corporate author: Korean National Commission for UNESCO | Zambia National Commission for UNESCO The Bridge Zambia Project (the Project) has been implemented jointly between the Korean National Commission for UNESCO (KNCU) and its partners in Zambia since October 2010. In March 2019, KNCU’s involvement in the Project will come to an end and Zambia will take over full responsibility for the Project as it goes forward. The Project has supported grassroots activities through the establishment of a Community Learning Centre (CLC), which acts as a hub of community-led development activities in non-formal education. The Project has mobilized and empowered communities and local leadership to take charge of non-formal education programmes with the aim of assisting Zambia to attain UNESCO’s Education for All goals and UN Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4), concerning education quality.

Embracing Peace through UNESCO World Heritage Year of publication: 2024 Author: 장정아 | 김민성 | 김수진 | 김원호 | 안치영 | 오성희 | 오창현 | 이성영 | 이현경 | 전원희 Corporate author: Korean National Commission for UNESCO This resource kit is the product of long labor by 10 researchers consisting of scholars on UNESCO heritage and teachers working in schools that belong to the UNESCO Associated Schools Network (ASPnet). It is distinct from existing educational resources in several ways. First, this kit goes beyond introducing the variously inscribed World Heritage properties one after another, to explain the rich significance of the heritage properties through keywords such as peace, cultural diversity, and sustainability. We also sought to overcome misconceptions about World Heritage and presented the content through various interesting cases for easy, hands-on application in classroom settings. In 2024, KNCU has pilot-tested the teaching materials presented in this resource kit in Korean middle and high schools belonging to UNESCO ASPnet. An online teacher training course based on this book has also been provided in June this year.
