Mis ensemble, ils signifient « vivre ensemble », « s’entraider ». C’est notre vision pour la région Asie-Pacifique. SangSaeng (相生) se veut une plateforme de débats constructifs sur les sujets, méthodes et expériences dans le domaine de l’éducation à la compréhension internationale. SangSaeng vise aussi à promouvoir l’Éducation à la citoyenneté mondiale, une des trois priorités de l’Initiative mondiale pour l’éducation avant tout, lancée par les Nations Unies en 2012. SangSaeng est publié deux fois par an par le Centre Asie-Pacifique d’éducation pour la compréhension internationale (APCEIU) sous l’égide de l’UNESCO. Global Citizenship Education and the Rise of Nationalist Perspectives: Reflections and Possible Ways Forward Año de publicación: 2018 Autor corporativo: UNESCO | APCEIU Over the past few years, many have observed a rise in nationalist perspectives across the world. These trends raise questions about the role of education and, in particular, one of UNESCO’s key areas of work in the field of education, namely Global Citizenship Education (GCED), which seeks to equip learners with the skills, values and attitudes needed to contribute to the development of peaceful and just societies. This paper seeks to clarify the evidence of the rise of nationalist perspectives and its causes, and to lay out how GCED is challenged by this phenomenon. It recommends ways forward for education stakeholders in promoting GCED, in order to strengthen ‘learning to live together’ by embedding GCED meaningfully in local and country contexts. 세계시민교육과 민족주의적 관점의 부상: 성찰과 나아갈 길 Año de publicación: 2018 Autor corporativo: UNESCO | APCEIU 지난 몇 년간 많은 이들이 전 세계에서 민족주의적 관점의 부상을 목도해왔다. 이에 관해 평론가들은 배타성과 외국인 공포증, 때로 인종주의적 주장과 공공장소 내 폭력적 행위가 증가하고 있는 것뿐만 아니라, 일부 국가에서 경제적 보호주의에 더욱 중점을 두는 현상에 대해 언급해왔다. 이러한 추세는 교육의 역할에 대해 많은 의문을 불러일으키고 있으며, 특히 평화롭고 공정한 사회의 발전에 필요한 능력·가치·태도 함양을 목적으로 하는, 유네스코 교육 분야의 핵심 사업인 세계시민교육(GCED, Global Citizenship Education)에 있어 심각한 도전이 되고 있다. 이 책에서는 민족주의적 관점이 부상하고 있다는 증거 및 그 원인을 규명하고, 이러한 현상으로부터 세계시민교육이 어떠한 도전을 받고 있는지를 보여주고자 한다. 이 책은 유네스코의 사업과 더불어 세계시민교육을 추진하는 다른 교육 종사자들에게 앞으로 나아갈 수 있는 방안을 권고하고자 한다. 
세계시민교육 국내 이행현황 연구보고서: 유·초중등학교 교육과정을 중심으로 Año de publicación: 2018 Autor corporativo: APCEIU “세계시민교육 국내 이행현황 연구보고서 - 유·초중등학교 교육과정을 중심으로”가 발간되었다. 본 연구보고서는 세계시민교육의 실행과 성과에 대한 국가 수준의 모니터링 및 평가 연구가 희소하다는 문제의식에 기초하여 작성된 결과물이다. 특히, 국내 17개 시·도교육청 산하 유치원, 초·중·고등학교 교육과정 활동에서 세계시민의 개념이 어떻게 반영 및 실행되고 있는지를 살펴보기 위하여 탐색적 연구를 설계하고 관련 자료 조사를 실시하는데 주안점을 두었다. 또한 연구조사 결과를 토대로 동 보고서는 향후 세계시민교육이 교육현장에서 보다 명확하게 이행되고 확산될 수 있도록 하는 정책적 제언도 담고 있다. 
SDG 4.7: 세계시민교육 지표수립을 위한 기초연구 Año de publicación: 2018 Autor corporativo: APCEIU “SDG 4.7 세계시민교육 지표수립을 위한 기초연구 보고서”가 발간되었다. 본 연구보고서는 국제적으로 합의된 글로벌 지표의 부재로 현재까지 정의가 완료되지 않은 지속가능발전목표 (SDG) 4.7 지표 개발을 위한 기초 연구이다. 즉, 동 보고서는 세계시민교육 및 SDG 4.7 지표에 관한 기존의 국내·외 연구결과를 종합적으로 검토하여 글로벌 지표에 관한 주요 논의를 정리하고, 국내 지표 개발을 위한 함의를 도출하는 데에 목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위하여 유네스코 통계원 (UIS)의 최신 SDG 4.7.1 메타데이터 연구와 국내·외 연구결과에 기초하여 국내에서 활용할 수 있는 정보와 데이터를 검토하고 있다. 
17th Asia-Pacific Training Workshop on EIU: Final Report Año de publicación: 2017 Autor: Yeonwoo Lee | Grace Na Autor corporativo: APCEIU Since its establishment in 2001, APCEIU has been organizing capacity building training workshops on Education for International Understanding (EIU) for educators to promote a Culture of Peace through education. The critical importance of preparing educators towards building a more peaceful and sustainable world has been reaffirmed by the increased attention to GCED (Global Citizenship Education), with the adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Education 2030 Framework for Action in 2015. Fostering global citizenship is in line with EIU’s core values in terms of the promotion of learning to live together to make a more just, peaceful, and inclusive society.The Asia-Pacific Training Workshop on EIU (APTW), APCEIU’s flagship programme, aims to enhance participants’ knowledge, skills, and commitment to EIU and GCED and enable them to competently design and implement EIU/GCED activities in their local and national contexts. Designed as a Training of Trainers (TOT), the APTW not only encompasses key themes and concepts surrounding EIU/GCED, but also has a strong focus on creative methodologies and approaches to teach EIU/GCED. In order to achieve this goal, this intensive 9-day training workshop includes lectures, discussions, workshops, in-depth seminars, field visits, action plan development in small groups where participants can learn from one another and from the experiences they encounter during the workshop. Furthermore, participants are encouraged to plan and carry out their own training workshops to spread the messages of EIU/GCED after their participation in the workshop.This workshop is sponsored by Ministry of Education and partnered with UNESCO Bangkok, supported by Korea Funds-in-Trust. 28 teacher educators/trainers in the Asia-Pacific region participated in the workshop and strengthened their understanding of Global Citizenship Education and discussed pedagogy, and action planning to practice GCED at national and international levels. This report provides an overview, summary, photographs and other information about the 17th Asia-Pacific Workshop on EIU (APTW). 
세계시민, 세계유산을 품다 - 제주 세계자연유산과 해녀문화를 중심으로 Año de publicación: 2018 Autor corporativo: APCEIU 유네스코 아시아태평양 국제이해교육원은 세계유산을 활용한 세계시민교육 교재개발 사업으로 “세계시민, 세계유산을 품다”를 출간하였다. 이 책은 세계유산을 단순한 관광의 대상으로 소개하는 것이 아니라, 현장체험, 토론, 조사 등의 다양한 활동을 통해 세계유산이 가진 가치와 의미를 깨달아 세계시민으로 성장하도록 하는 내용으로 구성했다. 세계유산을 통해 국제이해, 평화, 인권, 문화다양성, 지속가능한 발전 등의 보편적 가치를 배우고 내재화하도록 돕는 교재이다.한국의 세계유산을 활용한 이번 세계시민교육 자료는 제주를 중심으로 구성하였다. 제주도는 현재 유네스코 세계자연유산과 인류무형문화유산을 가지고 있다. 이 책은 세계자연유산 ‘제주 화산섬과 용암동굴’과 인류무형문화유산 ‘제주 해녀문화’의 가치를 세계시민교육으로 연계하여 교육함으로써 세계시민의식 함양의 길잡이가 되고자 한다. 특히 유형유산과 무형유산을 통합적으로 연계하여 소개하는 시도를 하였다.이 책의 세계시민교육은 제주세계자연유산과 더불어 제주 해녀문화의 공동체 의식에 주목하고 이를 소개했다. 또한 이 책은 학교 현장의 교사가 세계유산 교육과 세계시민교육을 동시에 하고자 할 때 학습자료로서 도움이 될 것이다. 또한 학생이 세계유산을 통하여 지속가능성을 이해하고, 이를 통하여 세계시민으로 성장하는데 기여할 것이다.
