Medios de comunicación como plataforma de diálogo”, realizado el 5 de mayo de 2009 en la Casa Central de la Universidad de Chile. El encuentro, con invitados nacionales e internacionales, permitió reflexionar y discutir sobre los principales -aunque no los únicos- problemas que hoy están en carpeta en cuestiones referidas al fomento del pluralismo y la diversidad; los desafíos para el periodismo y los medios en un contexto de alta renovación tecnológica y crisis económica; las líneas de trabajo en la materia para el diseño y ejecución de políticas públicas, y la investigación en comunicación. Esta publicación recoge las presentaciones de los expositores durante el Seminario, así como también deja testimonio de los compromisos asumidos por los candidatos presidenciales que esperamos se transforme en una agenda no sólo para la administración 2010-2014, sino que también para los sectores políticos que representa cada uno de quienes suscribieron el documento.

Alongside positive developments, there also growing concerns about emerging and increasing threats to the integrity and credibility of elections, as well as the media's contribution to free, fair, transparent and peaceful electoral processes.This report highlights three converging trends in media and elections in digital times: the rise of disinformation, intensifying attacks on journalists, and disruptions linked to the use of information and communication technology in electoral arrangements. Offering possible responses to the challenges at hand, this study is a tool for governments, election practitioners, media organizations, journalists, civil society, the private sector, academia and individuals. Наряду с позитивными сторонами растет озабоченность по поводу вырисовывающихся и усиливающихся угроз целостности и авторитету выборов, а также вкладу средств массовой информации в свободные, справедливые, транспарентные и мирные избирательные процессы.В настоящем докладе освещаются три сходящиеся тенденции, связанные со СМИ и выборами в цифровую эпоху: рост дезинформации, усиление нападений на журналистов и перебои в предоставлении информационно-коммуникационных технологий в период выборов. Это исследование, предлагая возможные ответы на стоящие перед нами проблемы, является своего рода инструментом для правительств, специалистов по проведению выборов, организаций средств массовой информации, журналистов, гражданского общества, частного сектора, научных кругов и отдельных лиц.

Manual on Citizenship Competencies: Citizenship Academy Project Año de publicación: 2020 Autor corporativo: Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI) | Panamanian Debate Association (ASPADE) | Eduardo Morgan Foundation (FUNDAMORGAN) The Citizen Competencies Manual is a tool for facilitators of the Ibero-American Education Program in human rights, democracy and citizenship. Citizen Academy is an initiative led by the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI) with the Panamanian Debate Association (ASPADE) and the Eduardo Morgan Foundation (FUNDAMORGAN). Within the Citizen Academy Program, various initiatives have been developed, all focused on the importance of citizen participation and the development of skills that contribute to the personal and professional growth of the participants. In this manual, teachers and trainers will be able to find a roadmap to learn and teach their students about: i) citizenship skills, ii) debate and democracy, iii) culture of legality, iv) good governance, v) human rights , vi) equity and diversity and vii) peaceful conflict resolution and the ImPacta methodology.
