“Nobody Has Ever Asked About Young People’s Opinions”: Young People’s Perspectives on Identity, Exclusion and the Prospects for a Peaceful Future in Central Asia Año de publicación: 2012 Autor corporativo: Saferworld This report offers a number of recommendations for the governments of Central Asian countries, as well as for international donor organizations that provide financial assistance to these states. Through the portals of connection, students from different regions were able to collaborate in doing group works and activities, which were focused on sharing ideas on students’ interest and every day experiences. This case highlights the specific practice that encouraged students to actively learn from one another and understand the cultural diversity, which optimized the outcome of the students’ capacity in communication skills, language skills, and personal development as global citizens. In addition to strengthening the network among participating schools, the impact of the multilateral project extended to teachers while they were engaged in exchanging pedagogical methods and knowledge to support and inspire each other. A travers les portails de connexion, les étudiants de différentes régions ont été en mesure de collaborer à faire des travaux et des activités de groupe, qui ont été axées sur le partage des idées sur l'intérêt des élèves et expériences quotidiennes. Ce cas met en lumière la pratique spécifique qui a encouragé les élèves à apprendre activement les uns des autres et de comprendre la diversité culturelle, qui a optimisé le résultat de la capacité des étudiants en techniques de communication, les compétences linguistiques et le développement personnel en tant que citoyens. "It is Very Painful to Talk About”: The Impact of Attacks on Education on Women and Girls Año de publicación: 2019 Autor: Holly Cartner Autor corporativo: Global Coalition to Protect Education from Attack (GCPEA) This report presents the key findings of GCPEA’s multi-country study on the impact of attacks on education on women and girls.10 GCPEA’s research focuses on the types and causes of abuse most typically committed against female students in the context of attacks on education, and the long-term consequences that female students may face as a result of such attacks.11 GCPEA initiated this study to contribute to a better understanding of the implications for girls and women when education is attacked and to inform our advocacy for better strategies to protect girls and women, prevent attacks and abuse, and diminish harmful consequences against them.This report relies on previous GCPEA research, including Education Under Attack 2018 and 2014, and updates, and the organization’s field research in Nigeria and the Democratic Republic of Congo, which focused specifically on the experiences of women and girls when education is attacked. In addition, the report draws from interviews with numerous country and regional experts and an extensive review of secondary data sources, including reports by United Nations (UN) agencies, development and humanitarian non-governmental organizations (NGOs), human rights organizations, government bodies, and think tanks, including numerous contributions from GCPEA’s member organizations.  Charlevoix Declaration on Quality Education for Girls, Adolescent Girls and Women in Developing Countries Año de publicación: 2018 Autor corporativo: G7 The Charlevoix Declaration is a commitment from the Leaders of the G7 to work towards inclusive, quality, equitable education for girls, adolescent girls, and women in developing countries and crisis contexts.The Charlevoix Declaration on Quality Education for Girls, Adolescent Girls and Women in Developing Countries represents a joint effort from the Leaders of G7 countries to step up for girls and women in conflict and crisis contexts. Focusing both on dismantling the barriers to education and improving the quality of education, the G7 have committed to promote and improve learning outcomes for both refugees and host communities, while also working to reduce the time children and youth, especially girls, are out of school as a result of conflict and displacement.To support the implementation of the Charlevoix Declaration, Canada also led the mobilization of CDN $3.8+ billion. With contributions from the World Bank, the European Union, Japan, Germany, and the United Kingdom, this initiative represents the single largest investment in education for girls in conflict and crisis settings.  A study of the middle school social studies and moral education curriculum to foster global citizenship Año de publicación: 2009 Autor: Geunho Lee | Deokgeun Kim | Byungsu Min | Hyunjeong Oh | Jeongmin Eom | Hyojeong Kim | Junsik Park Autor corporativo: Korea Institute for Curriculum and Evaluation (KICE) This study was conducted to analyze the determinants (i.e. multicultural acceptability, national identity, and moral values) influencing global citizenship in order to examine the construct of global citizenship as well as to find the moral education about global citizenship for teacher education. Hierarchical regression was used to analyze the survey of 116 college students in university of education. The results are following. Firstly, The hierarchical regression analysis of ModelⅢ with influencing three factors to global citizenship explained 25% of the variance in student’s global citizenship, and it was found common good among moral values and experience of living a life in the foreign countries as important factors in the model. Second, They regressed into the variance of moral values even though a few ones of multi-cultural acceptability and national identity were influential factors before modelⅢ. Contrary to theoretical expectations, they are turned into be a half of influential factors to global citizenship. Based on the results, we suggested that to solve the global problems need to be strengthen in the developing the education curriculum for global citizenship. Furthermore, future research with stratified sampling will be conducting to generalize the result of this study. Régression hiérarchique a été utilisé pour analyser le sondage auprès des 116 étudiants de niveau collégial à l'université de l'éducation. Les résultats suivent. Tout d'abord, l'analyse de régression hiérarchique des ModelⅢ d'influencer trois facteurs à la citoyenneté mondiale explique 25% de la variance de la citoyenneté mondiale de l'étudiant, et il a été trouvé bien commun entre les valeurs morales et de l'expérience d'une vie dans les pays étrangers comme des facteurs importants dans la modèle. Deuxièmement, ils ont régressé dans la variance des valeurs morales, même si quelques uns d'aCECptabilité multi-culturelle et l'identité nationale sont des facteurs influents avant modelⅢ. Contrairement aux attentes théoriques, ils sont transformés en une moitié de facteurs influents à la citoyenneté mondiale. D'après les résultats, nous avons proposé que pour résoudre les problèmes mondiaux doivent être renforcer dans le développement du programme d'éducation à la citoyenneté mondiale. En outre, les recherches futures avec échantillonnage stratifié sera conduit à généraliser le résultat de cette étude.
