Citizen Academy is an initiative led by the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI) with the Panamanian Debate Association (ASPADE) and the Eduardo Morgan Foundation (FUNDAMORGAN). Within the Citizen Academy Program, various initiatives have been developed, all focused on the importance of citizen participation and the development of skills that contribute to the personal and professional growth of the participants. In this manual, teachers and trainers will be able to find a roadmap to learn and teach their students about: i) citizenship skills, ii) debate and democracy, iii) culture of legality, iv) good governance, v) human rights , vi) equity and diversity and vii) peaceful conflict resolution and the ImPacta methodology. In addition, many millions of children from some of the world's most marginalized communities have long missed out on life-saving vaccination. Catch-up and recovery are needed urgently to vaccinate the children missed and to avoid further backsliding. And greater effort is needed to reach the children historically left behind.The State of the World’s Children 2023 examines what needs to happen to ensure that every child, everywhere is protected against vaccine-preventable diseases. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, which set back progress in childhood immunization globally, it focuses on the role of poverty, marginalization and gender in determining whether or not children are vaccinated. Drawing on lessons learned during the pandemic and from UNICEF's decades-long expertise and experience in vaccinating children, the report examines the ways in which primary health care can be strengthened to better support immunization services. It looks, too, at concerns around trust in vaccines. Recommendation on Education for Peace and Human Rights, International Understanding, Cooperation, Fundamental Freedoms, Global Citizenship and Sustainable Development Año de publicación: 2023 Autor corporativo: UNESCO Building more peaceful, just, and sustainable societies starts with education. It influences all aspects of our daily lives and our overall prospects while being impacted by our health and environment. In the global landscape of worsening climate change, democratic backsliding, persistent inequalities, rising discrimination, hate speech, violence and conflict, it can be a tool to address and prevent these problems in the future. And it can also be a long-term investment with increasing returns if shaped and deployed effectively. 中美融合教育实施情况比较研究 Año de publicación: 2022 Autor: 熊樱 | 唐松林 本文对中美两国近年来融合教育的实施情况进行了比较研究,分别从融合教育机会、融合安置环境以及融合教育的支持保障体系三个方面进行了对比，发现我国特殊学生接受融合教育的机会相对于美国而言较低，我国特殊学生可供选择的融合安置环境十分有限，融合教育的支持保障体系也还很不完善，我国融合教育发展面临很大挑战，需要借鉴美国有益经验，科学界定我国融合教育服务对象和安置环境，进一步推进强化融合教育的支持保障体系。 
Empathy, Perspective and Complicity: How Digital Games can Support Peace Education and Conflict Resolution Año de publicación: 2016 Autor: Paul Darvasi Autor corporativo: Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development (MGIEP) This paper will address how digital games may be uniquely suited to further the work of peace education and conflict resolution. There is a scarcity of research that specifically studies how digital games, as dynamic and interreactive learning tools, can be leveraged to support and enhance the closely related fields of peace education or conflict resolution; however, research in a number relevant sectors will be recruited to better understand the topic and expose gaps for further work. After defining basic terms, the first section will briefly discuss the aims of peace education and interactive conflict resolution and how digital games can assist in facilitating intergroup contact and collaboration. The heart of the paper will examine several serious games for their potential to cultivate perspective-taking and empathy, explore ethical dilemmas, promote intercultural understanding and encourage a sense of complicity, all crucial components in the work of peace education and conflict resolution. The final section will discuss the importance of context and reflection when implementing digital games and consider whether they can produce long-term, sustainable changes to behaviors and attitudes.
