Offering practical tips and tools including checklists and a glossary, it provides a framework for conducting impact assessments for cultural and natural heritage sites.Developed by UNESCO and the Advisory Bodies to the World Heritage Committee, ICCROM, ICOMOS and IUCN, this Guidance and Toolkit fosters cross-sectoral, multidisciplinary collaboration to identify solutions for both protecting World Heritage sites and supporting good quality and appropriate development . UNESCO와 세계유산위원회의 자문기구인 ICCROM, ICOMOS와 ICUN이 개발한 이 지침서는 다양한 분야를 넘나드는 학제적 협력을 통해 세계유산보호와 고품질의 적절한 개발이라는 일석이조의 목적을 달성하는 대안을 찾기 위한 안내서이다. 세계유산협약의 당사국, 유산관리자, 계획정책 당국과 개발 사업자까지 본 지침서를 활용하여, 인류의 공동 사명인 소중한 유산을 후세에 전승하는데 기여해 주길 바란다.

The analysis is guided not only by the Agenda’s goals and targets, but also by the whole-of-society and rights-based approaches and the principles of universality, leaving no one behind, combating inequality and promoting gender equality and the empowerment of women.The Review examines the contributions of the private sector to sustainable development in the Arab region from three lenses: delivering the SDGs through business action, mobilizing private finance for the SDGs, and engaging the private sector in SDG planning and coordination. Each chapter assesses evidence for private sector engagement in the delivery of the SDGs in the region and provides guidance on actions needed to address current gaps.

In the few places where data are collected, women of African descent are found to be more vulnerable to obstetric mistreatment and negative maternal health outcomes. Indigenous women are often denied culturally appropriate maternal health care, and their own childbirth practices may be criminalized, resulting in significantly higher risk of death in pregnancy and childbirth. Gender-unequal norms remain embedded in health-care infrastructure, including persistent underinvestment in the world’s largely female midwifery workforce. Women and girls with disabilities face up to 10 times more gender-based violence while also facing higher barriers to sexual and reproductive information and care. LGBTQIA+ people face serious health disparities in addition to – and as a result of – discrimination and stigma. The path forward to fulfill the Cairo International Conference on Population and Development promise of universal sexual and reproductive health and rights is clear: To achieve it we must root out inequalities from our health systems and policies and focus as a priority on those women and young people who are most marginalized and excluded. We need comprehensive, universal and inclusive health care grounded in human rights and evidence of what works. This work is vitally important, it is just, and it is possible. This report contains many examples of programmes and efforts that have expanded access to, and uptake of, quality care, usually with interventions tailored by and for those most in need. To accelerate success, we will require more and better data, disaggregated to understand exactly who is being left behind, and collected with their input and safety assured.
