Rapport mondial des Nations Unies sur la mise en valeur des ressources en eau 2016: l'eau et l'emploi Año de publicación: 2016 Autor corporativo: UNESCO Three out of four jobs worldwide rely on water. As such, water shortages and lack of access may limit economic growth in the years to come, according to the World Water Development Report 2016. From its collection, through various uses, to its ultimate return to the natural environment, water is a key factor in the development of job opportunities either directly related to its management (supply, infrastructure, wastewater treatment, etc.) or in economic sectors that are heavily water-dependent such as agriculture, fishing, power, industry and health. In its analysis of the economic impact of access to water, the report cites numerous studies that show a positive correlation between investments in the water sector and economic growth. It also highlights the key role of water in the transition to a green economy. 
Etude comparative de manuels scolaires: document de travail dans le cadre du dialogue Euro-Arabe, rapport de synthèse Año de publicación: 2015 Autor: Jacqueline Costa-Lascoux | Janine d'Artois Pursuant to the Charter of the United Nations and the Constitution of UNESCO, calling for peace between peoples and respect for cultural diversity, several National Commissions for UNESCO have taken the initiative to create the conditions for a Euro-Arab dialogue in the field of education. The French and Moroccan National Commissions, in particular, have decided to launch studies to highlight stereotypes, misunderstandings and subliminal bias about Arab countries in European textbooks and about European countries in textbooks in the Arab world. First, these studies were conducted by researchers focusing on their own countries' textbooks in order to analyse how the history of the countries on "the other side of the Mediterranean" was represented. Second, a common methodology was developed to allow comoparative approaches favourable to Euro-Arab dialogue. This was to address any mutual bias or misrepresentations that may exist between the two regions and to work togehter to find ways of preventing and combating them. The originality of the approach was to conduct a critical analysis of textbooks published in each country and then underetake a comparative study to be used as the basis for common recommendations. Participants in this project initiated by the National Commissions defined three main objectives: 1. To strengthen dialogue, laying the foundations for learning to live together, based on mutual respect. 2. To help National Commissions for UNESCO, experts, institutions and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to find ways to work together in areas of research of common interest. 3. Mapping of Media Information Literacy in Jordan Año de publicación: 2018 Autor corporativo: UNESCO Amman This study has come out as results of conducting a regional mapping exercise in Jordan to identify organizations that operate in the field of MIL to:understand the general landscape of MIL in Jordan to pinpoint areas in which UNESCO should intervene,identify different stakeholders that operate in the field of MIL and understand the scope of their work in terms of activities, region and target,determine the areas of MIL that are considered priorities by organizations,identify the key skills covered by the different initiatives and the nature of these activities,determine the challenges organizations are facing in implementing MILThe results of the study revealed that organizations exhibit considerable enthusiasm for the field of MIL and consider the competencies that fall within its scope as paramount in building a society that is empowered to successfully navigate the increasingly complex media sphere and use this knowledge to further contribute to the societal, cultural, educational and scientific development.

World Report on the Culture of Peace: Civil Society Report at Midpoint of the Culture of Peace Decade Año de publicación: 2005 Autor corporativo: Foundation for a Culture of Peace The year 2005 marks the midpoint of the International Decade for a Culture of Peace and Non-Violence for the Children of the World (2001-2010) as proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly.The present report has been submitted to the UN Secretary-General for the General Assembly's consideration at its next session under the relevant agenda item which will review the midpoint of the Culture of Peace Decade. This initiative responds to the invitation contained in operative paragraph 10 of General Assembly resolution A/59/143.The report is based on the accounts submitted by 700 organizations from all regions of the world. From the information received, it can be concluded that the culture of peace is advancing.The report provides the first comprehensive view of the progress made by the global movement for a culture of peace, since it was called for in 1999 by General Assembly resolution A/53/243 (annexed to the end of this report).
