The event will enable Member States to learn about the findings of UNESCOโs cutting-edge global report โCracking the Code: Girlsโ and womenโs education in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM)โ, the outcomes of UNESCOโs 2017 international symposium and policy forum on the same topic, and other tools and programmes developed by UNESCO to promote girlsโ and womenโs education in STEM. It will seek to engage, inform and support Member States in their efforts to promote gender equality in education, and the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals.
