Training โResults of Key Chemical Processes: Conferences of Parties to Chemical Conventions and SAICM. Progress on the implementation of the Minamata Convention and challenges for the Kyrgyz Republic โ
The Kyrgyz Republic is a party to three chemical conventions and has experience working under these agreements, certain legislative and institutional mechanisms for their implementation. The establishment of interagency and intersectoral cooperation at the country level to fulfill the obligations of the three conventions (Stockholm, Basel, Rotterdam) and the legal framework of the EAEU will contribute to combining efforts to reduce the effects of hazardous chemicals and waste on human health and the environment, and promote synergies in meeting obligations under international agreements related to chemical safety.
