Higher Education Sustainability Initiative (HESI) 2019

 

The Higher Education Sustainability Initiative (HESI) provides higher education institutions with a unique interface between higher education, science and policy making.

 

HESI is a partnership between the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs, the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), the UN Global Compact’s Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) initiative, UN University (UNU), UN-HABITAT and the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).

 

HESI 2019 is one of several special events that will take place during the July 2019 session of the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF). The other events include: the Partnership Exchange, the SDG Business Forum and the Local Authorities meeting.
