ECOSOC Youth Forum 2021 & Human Rights Education

OHCHR (the leading UN entity on human rights and more specifically human rights education), together with UNESCO (the leading UN agency on education and with a strong focus on Global Citizenship Education and Human Rights Education), as well as the Office of the Secretary-General's Envoy on Youth (leading on #Youth2030) will jointly implement the fourth phase of the World Programme for Human Rights Education.
It is in this spirit that the three organizations put together this โkick-offโ event to engage youth, hear their thoughts and ideas on human rights and human rights education, and amplify their voices before delving into the ECOSOC Youth Forum 2021.
The kick-off event seeks to
- engage young people on the topic of human rights, ahead of the ECOSOC Youth Forum 2021;
- introduce human rights and human rights education principles;
- highlight the importance of human rights education for youth and their role, as well as global support to this end;
- encourage youth engagement in human rights education and provide relevant guidance.
The ECOSOC Youth Forum 2021 & Human Rights Education is opened to the ECOSOC Youth Forum 2021 registered participants only.
