Video sketch: Global Youth Advocacy Workshop on GCED 발행 연도: 2015 단체 저자: APCEIU APCEIU produced a video on the Global Youth Advocacy Workshop on GCED held in Busan, Republic of Korea, from 30 March to 4 April 2015. The workshop invited 45 youth participants from 34 countries around the world, who are actively engaged with and committed to advocating and educating youth for GCED in their local contexts.This short video sketch of the workshop provides an overview of the activities carried out during the workshop and also includes the interviews of the participants, who shared their expectations, impressions, and reflections on the workshop.The workshop was co-organized by APCEIU, UN Secretary General’s Global Education First Initiative (GEFI), and the UNESCO Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development (MGIEP); and sponsored by Educate A Child and the Geum-jeong District of Busan Metropolitan City. Ministry of Education Asia-Pacific Teacher Exchange for Global Education (APTE) is a bilateral teacher exchange programme between the Republic of Korea and Asia-Pacific partner countries, hosted by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea and implemented by the Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding under the auspices of UNESCO (APCEIU) in collaboration with the Ministries of Education of the partner countries. The event was jointly organized by the Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU) under the auspices of UNESCO, the UNESCO Venice Office and ANGEL project partners GENE.The meeting brought together over 50 GCED-related stakeholders, including those from academia, nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), intergovernmental organizations, ministries, and the National Commissions for UNESCO. The meeting featured a range of presentations and reflections from partners and provided a platform to discuss action to strengthen GCED networking strategies within and beyond the region. It also offered participants the opportunity to share experiences, insights and knowledge with one another, and encouraged them to explore areas of collaboration in the future.
