EIU Best Practices Series No. 27: Integrating EIU with the Curriculum for Gross National Happiness Education in Bhutan 발행 연도: 2012 저자: Udhim Subba 단체 저자: APCEIU This monograph is one of APCEIU's EIU Best Practices Series, which aims to encourage educators, scholars, and activists to implement and share local initiatives on EIU. The Series No.27 introduces Bhutan’s Yebilaptsa Middle Secondary School, in its effort to promote values of EIU as a complementary component of the Gross National Happiness Education efforts. Activities such as UNESCO club community activities, environmental learning, EIU cultural night, international exchange altogether exemplify effective ways to integrate EIU practices in the curriculum and extracurricular programs of schools.

Alongside positive developments, there also growing concerns about emerging and increasing threats to the integrity and credibility of elections, as well as the media's contribution to free, fair, transparent and peaceful electoral processes.This report highlights three converging trends in media and elections in digital times: the rise of disinformation, intensifying attacks on journalists, and disruptions linked to the use of information and communication technology in electoral arrangements. Offering possible responses to the challenges at hand, this study is a tool for governments, election practitioners, media organizations, journalists, civil society, the private sector, academia and individuals. Это исследование, предлагая возможные ответы на стоящие перед нами проблемы, является своего рода инструментом для правительств, специалистов по проведению выборов, организаций средств массовой информации, журналистов, гражданского общества, частного сектора, научных кругов и отдельных лиц.

An Evaluation of UNESCO Publications on Human Rights Education 발행 연도: 2002 단체 저자: University of Leicester (UK) | Centre for Citizenship Studies in Education The purpose of this evaluation was to contribute to the formulation of a future strategy on Human Rights Education (HRE). The evaluation focused on nine publications commissioned by UNESCO Headquarters and field offices between 1997 and 2001.The relevance of the publications was assessed in light of UNESCO’s HRE goals and objectives. These were identified in UNESCO documents such as the 1995 Declaration and Integrated Framework of Action on Education for Peace, Human Rights and Democracy. The evaluation also included a report on the perception of users and UNESCO staff of the dissemination and impact of these publications, based on 11 staff interviews and an email questionnaire with 11 responses from 10 countries. In addition, the evaluators provided guidelines for the future development and evaluation of HRE publications.

According to estimates of human rights activists, only one case of 10 goes reported to law enforcement bodies at best. Once it is reported, the investigation and courts often cause another trauma to children, while proceedings may take years. The manual is divided into two chapters: The first conceptualizes participatory multiscale planning, while also briefly introducing three topics of great importance to be incorporated into any participatory planning process and construction of public management instruments: the perspective of gender, the use of Convention 169 and Principle 10. The second chapter systematizes a set of methodological instruments that describe the stages of a citizen participation strategy to incorporate the multiscale public management instruments. The manual closes with two annexes, the last of which incorporates a set of tools that can be used in the stages of the construction of a citizen participation strategy. El manual se estructura en dos capítulos: El primero de ellos conceptualiza la planificación multiescalar participativa, a la vez que realiza una breve introducción a tres temas de suma relevancia a incorporar en todo proceso de planificación participativa y construcción de instrumentos de gestión pública: la perspectiva de género, el uso del Convenio 169 y del Principio 10. El segundo capítulo sistematiza un conjunto de instrumentos metodológicos que describen las etapas de una estrategia de participación ciudadana para incorporar a los instrumentos de gestión pública multiescalar. El manual cierra con dos anexos, el último de los cuales incorpora un conjunto de herramientas que podrán ser utilizadas en las etapas de la construcción de una estrategia de participación ciudadana.
