“세계시민교육 국내 이행현황 연구보고서 - 유·초중등학교 교육과정을 중심으로”가 발간되었다. 본 연구보고서는 세계시민교육의 실행과 성과에 대한 국가 수준의 모니터링 및 평가 연구가 희소하다는 문제의식에 기초하여 작성된 결과물이다. 특히, 국내 17개 시·도교육청 산하 유치원, 초·중·고등학교 교육과정 활동에서 세계시민의 개념이 어떻게 반영 및 실행되고 있는지를 살펴보기 위하여 탐색적 연구를 설계하고 관련 자료 조사를 실시하는데 주안점을 두었다. 또한 연구조사 결과를 토대로 동 보고서는 향후 세계시민교육이 교육현장에서 보다 명확하게 이행되고 확산될 수 있도록 하는 정책적 제언도 담고 있다.

Ce rapport est le fruitde l’atelier international de renforcement de capacités organisé par l’UNESCO dans l’objectif de renforcer les capacités des pays membres de la Communauté économique des États de l'Afrique de l'Ouest (CEDEAO) pour la promotion de l’Education à la citoyenneté mondiale aux niveaux nationaux et régionaux. Autonomiser des citoyens du mon de actifs et construire un sens d’appartenance à une humanité commune ne font pas uniquement partie du mandat de l’UNESCO mais sont aussi des problèmes prioritaires pour l’Afrique de l’Ouest. Ce rapport d’atelier fournit des ressources, stratégies et feuilles de routes pour l’avancée et une meilleure intégration de l’ECM dans les politiques et les programmes éducatifs en Afrique de l’Ouest. Les feuilles de route ont été proposées par les Etats membres eux-mêmes et leur mise en œuvre dépendra de la disponibilité des ressources et des partenariats potentiels.

“SDG 4.7 세계시민교육 지표수립을 위한 기초연구 보고서”가 발간되었다. 본 연구보고서는 국제적으로 합의된 글로벌 지표의 부재로 현재까지 정의가 완료되지 않은 지속가능발전목표 (SDG) 4.7 지표 개발을 위한 기초 연구이다. 즉, 동 보고서는 세계시민교육 및 SDG 4.7 지표에 관한 기존의 국내·외 연구결과를 종합적으로 검토하여 글로벌 지표에 관한 주요 논의를 정리하고, 국내 지표 개발을 위한 함의를 도출하는 데에 목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위하여 유네스코 통계원 (UIS)의 최신 SDG 4.7.1 메타데이터 연구와 국내·외 연구결과에 기초하여 국내에서 활용할 수 있는 정보와 데이터를 검토하고 있다.

The World’s Largest Lesson brings the Global Goals to children all over the world, reaching over 130 countries and millions of children since its launch in September 2015.Produced by Project Everyone and delivered in partnership with UNICEF and many NGOs, private sector organisations and foundations, the World’s Largest Lesson reaches students through multiple channels. Ministries of Education are invited annually to take part. NGOs distribute digital content through their networks and education organisations, both for and non-profit, encourage participation through their communities.

The Harmony School in Izhevsk is a regular municipal school located in one of the city districts of the capital city of the Udmurt Republic in Russia. Students come to Harmony school from different cultural and social environments, with various physical and mental abilities, and the school is eager to create the best conditions for learning and developing for each of them. In 2012, Harmony School took a part in the School of Digital Age project supported by the federal Skolkovo project and the Russian branch of Microsoft. The mobile technologies in the school are implemented as a tool for anytime and anywhere learning to differentiate and individualize learning to improve education results.According to the school vision, mobile learning technologies should provide all students and teachers anytime and anywhere access to a variety of teaching and learning materials and digital instruments and students who are unable to attend classes should be able to continue their systematic studies. The mobile learning model should enable every student to experience independent learning activities in the digital educational environment and improve their educational results with new methods and organizational forms of teaching and learning. To implement this vision, the new school-wide teaching and learning practices including online/blended learning, mobile learning in the classroom and outside-classroom learning have been developed and used actively. The new in-school teachers’ professional development model has become a crucially important element for the project’s success.

UNESCO and the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) co-organised the side event ‘Cracking the code: Empowering rural women and girls through digital skills’ on 14 March 2018, United Nations Headquarters in New York, on the margins of the 62nd session of the CSW. More than 500 participants participated in the event while a broad global audience followed the discussions through live webcast.This report provides an overview of the discussions and examples of government, civil society organizations, and private sector initiatives to close the gender digital gap and empower rural girls and women to be ICT users, creators and innovators through gender-responsive digital skills training as well as science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education more broadly.
