The activities and resources provide ideas and methodologies to engage students in discussing and taking action on equality, human rights and social justice issues in the classroom, the school and the community. These include issues relating to the 9 equality grounds in Irish equality legislation: gender, civil status, family status, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, race and the Traveller community. Exploring and taking action in these areas supports the development of key skills across curricula including critical and creative thinking, communication, active citizenship and working together. 
Working for a Better Life: A Junior Cycle Civic, Social and Political Education (CSPE) Unit Exploring Human Rights and Development 발행 연도: 2016 저자: Kathryn Moore | Mella Cusack 단체 저자: A Partnership with Africa (APA) | City of Dublin Education and Training Board (CDETB) The aim of this Teaching and Learning Unit is to encourage teachers and junior cycle students to question the sources of generalisations about ‘developing countries,’ and to use a human rights framework when engaging with case studies about people who are working to lift themselves out of situations of poverty and inequality. The unit can also be used to support teaching and learning in Civic, Social and Political Education (CSPE), and to contribute to the delivery of Wellbeing at junior cycle level. The unit could also be used in citizenship, social justice or development education module for Transition Year students. 
Des histoires du passé: Le féminisme dans les manuels d’histoire et d’éducation à la citoyenneté selon des élèves québécois de quatrième secondaire (Revue des sciences de l'éducation de McGill; Vol. 52, No. 2) 발행 연도: 2017 저자: Marie-Hélène Brunet 단체 저자: McGill University. Faculty of Education L’article s’intéresse à la manière dont les élèves traitent les contenus liés au féminisme dans les manuels d’histoire. Un questionnaire a été distribué à 575 élèves québécois de quatrième secondaire afin d’identifier leurs conceptions du manuel et du féminisme. Neuf élèves ont ensuite été rencontrés en entrevue afin d’évaluer leur compréhension de l’agentivité des femmes de même que leur réaction à des récits contradictoires. Les résultats montrent l’importance de prendre en compte les représentations des élèves afin d’évaluer le processus de médiation. Une très forte proportion des élèves (88 %) considère le manuel comme le reflet d’une vérité objective. Ils ressentent un inconfort devant la tâche et tentent d’amoindrir les différences entre les récits en sélectionnant les éléments correspondant à leurs conceptions initiales. Une majorité des élèves rencontrés différencient, de façon variable, les textes en fonction de l’agentivité. 
La participation citoyenne à la construction des politiques de développement: Et les jeunes dans tout ça ? 발행 연도: 2015 단체 저자: Educasol Le Jeudi 9 juillet 2015, à Paris, le CLONG Volontariat, le Cnajep, Educasol et France Volontaires, principaux collectifs et plateformes français engagés sur les questions de citoyenneté active en France et à l’international, ont réuni leur réseau pour débattre de la participation des jeunes à la construction des politiques de développement. Ce document reprend les temps forts et messages clefs de la journée. 
L'engagement des jeunes 발행 연도: 2015 저자: Jeanne Lorrain 단체 저자: Educasol Le 9 juillet 2015, à l’initiative inédite de quatre collectifs et plateformes engagés sur les questions de citoyenneté active à l’international, le CLONG Volontariat, EDUCASOL, France Volontaires et le Cnajep, jeunes, associations et institutions se sont interrogés : « Quelle participation citoyenne à la construction des politiques de développement ? Et les jeunes dans tout ça ? » Au cours de la journée, la parole a été donnée aux jeunes pour qu’ils puissent exprimer ce que représente pour eux l’engagement et pour mettre en avant ceux qui n’ont généralement pas la parole. A travers un regard croisé Europe/International sur l’engagement citoyen et de nombreux témoignages sur leur parcours, les jeunes intervenants ont rappelé que ces questions ne sont pas réservées à une élite, que peu importe le niveau ou l’échelle d’engagement (international-national-quartier-région), ceux qui s’intéressent aux questions de développement peuvent avoir un impact sur les politiques publiques et faire que leur voix soit entendue. Cette journée a permis de développer deux outils de communication et d’information afin de promouvoir l’engagement citoyen et de faire de la sensibilisation auprès de différents publics en France et à l’international.

By offering perspectives on global education as well as related methods and evaluation criteria – including sharing of practices, tools and resources - these Guidelines aim at strengthening the overall work for global education. It also aims at supporting practitioners in formal and non-formal education settings by introducing general elements which may be developed by them according to the needs and based on their own experiences; assist them in identifying existing global education approaches and practices; support them in reflecting on and becoming more aware of their own global education activities; increase global education practice sharing and create synergies between stakeholders; contribute to education policies at local, regional, national and international level.The Global Education Guidelines are an initiative of the Global Education Programme of the NorthSouth Centre of the Council of Europe, involving a team of educators from the Global Education Week network which constituted the drafting team with the mandate of drafting collectively the Global Education Guidelines. The writing process included a participatory method at several levels of consultancy amongst global education educators and practitioners actively involved with the North-South Centre global education and youth programmes. Moreover, a Group of Mentors was identified among NSC’s European and international partners, which included, inter alia, a team of trainers from the NSC’s University on Youth & Development.Topics presented in the Guidelines aim at clarifying fundamental questions related to global education; it suggest strategies on how to build contents; put forward aims, skills, values and attitudes; offer guidance on methods, curricular design and evaluation and list useful contacts, links and bibliography. The Guidelines should be regarded as an ongoing process of evolution, which should be regularly reviewed with new ideas, inputs and practices brought from a diversity of partners and their experiences. El proceso de redacción del presente documento se realizó mediante un método participativo en varios niveles de consulta entre educadores y profesionales de la educación global activamente involucrados en programas para la juventud del Centro Norte-Sur. International Youth White Paper on Global Citizenship 발행 연도: 2017 단체 저자: Centre for Global Citizenship Education and Research (CGCER) | Centre for Global Education (CGE) The paper aims to mobilize, connect and amplify the voices and actions of youth from across the globe on GCED. The Centre provided feedback on the draft of the initial framework and activities for the project in November, 2016 and provided funds to help support the travel and participation of several students at UNESCO Education Week. Ten of these youth presented the International Global Citizenship White Paper, discussing both the content and the process.The paper identifies three pillars that these youth feel define global citizenship and make it accessible to everyone: deep listening to others, self-reflexivity and engaged actions within a global community. These double as important features of educating for pluralism. The paper focuses on three themes: 1) interconnection and complexity; 2) diversity and difference; 3) community, relationality and compassion.
