It describes in depth the multiple dimensions that make up each of 10 digital citizenship domains, and includes a fact sheet on each domain providing ideas, good practice and further references to support educators in building the competences that will stand children in good stead when they are confronted with the challenges of tomorrow’s digital world. The Digital citizenship education handbook is consistent with the Council of Europe’s Reference Framework of Competences for Democratic Culture and compatible for use with the Internet literacy handbook.

Textbooks for Sustainable Development: A Guide to Embedding 발행 연도: 2017 단체 저자: UNESCO | Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development (MGIEP) This guidebook introduces the approach of embedding education for sustainable development into core subjects, building on the German initiative as well as consolidating other existing efforts. This ambitious work began when the UNESCO Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development (MGIEP), with support from Engagement Global gGmbH, brought together 30 international experts in mathematics, sciences, languages, geography and education for sustainable development in Bangalore, India, in June 2016. These experts co-drafted this guidebook. This publication is designed as a guide for stakeholders in textbook development – education ministries, national curriculum authorities, textbook writers and publishers – to help them produce a new generation of textbooks. Such textbooks will make a clear departure from the mechanistic transmission of information and procedural knowledge devoid of meaning and contextual relevance. They will also advocate a new vision of learning and contribute to fostering young people’s competencies and capabilities to shape more peaceful and sustainable societies. Competencies such as critical and systemic thinking, appreciation of diversity, empathy and commitment to change are the key goals of this ambitious publication. G7 Global Objectives On Girls’ Education: Baseline Report 발행 연도: 2022 단체 저자: United Nations Girls' Education Initiative (UNGEI) This publication serves as a baseline report to accompany efforts of the G7 Accountability Working Group to monitor progress towards the two global objectives. It presents evidence on low- and lower-middle-income countries’ progress in achieving the two global objectives and what remains to be done.It is important to stress that the two G7 global objectives on girls’ education are measures of gender parity, which are necessary but not sufficient as measures of gender equality. Assessing progress towards the latter requires information, which tends not to be available systematically enough to allow a comparative perspective. However, this report provides insights to remaining challenges. 
Advocacy for Impact: Gender and Education 발행 연도: 2022 저자: Justine Brice | Elodie Gnonlonfoun | Marina Gutiérrez García de Viedma | Chattalie Jayatilaka 단체 저자: United Nations Girls' Education Initiative (UNGEI) There has been an urgent need to include a gender-inclusive, anti-racist and decolonial lens in advocacy strategies in recent years. In the rare circumstances these lenses were applied, they were not effectively utilised when designing and implementing an advocacy campaign regarding education. Often, an intersectional approach was not used to consider context-specific power dynamics impacting girls’ ability to access education. The first objective of this report is to understand the “best practices to design and implement advocacy strategies that are gender-inclusive and anti-racist in the development sector, with a focus on gender and education”. The second objective was to examine the evidence regarding the effectiveness and impact of different advocacy strategies. Thirdly, the study aimed to understand the “best tools and approaches to measure advocacy impact." This research was conducted by an LSE student research team exploring gender-inclusive and anti-racist advocacy strategies.
