UNESCO 2018 Asia-Pacific Youth Evaluation Report 발행 연도: 2020 저자: Rebecca Barr | Sue Vize 단체 저자: UNESCO Bangkok In March 2019 UNESCO conducted the first ever “youth evaluation” of the youth programmes implemented during 2018. This evaluation is a pilot for integrating youth-led evaluation as part of UNESCO’s programming cycle as part of our commitment to meaningfully engaging with youth.This evaluation was developed by UNESCO staff in partnership with youth who have been involved in UNESCO’s work in a variety of ways. It consists of three parts: an online survey, focus group discussions and stories written by young people about their experiences being part of a UNESCO project.

PBSO) The process of how this study was undertaken is just as important as the outcomes it produced. The study used an inclusive and participatory research approach by undertaking regional, subregional and national consultations with young people across the globe; conducting and receiving country case studies; commissioning focus-group discussions with “hard to reach” youth; and drawing on a survey-based mapping of the work done by youth-led peacebuilding organizations. Particular effort was made to reach out beyond easily accessible and elite youth, to young people who would not ordinarily have a say in these sorts of global policy processes. Given the challenge of young people’s increasing distrust in their governments and the multilateral system, it was essential to work with credible civil society organizations with strong trust-based relationships with youth on the ground. السلام المفقود: دراسة مرحلية مستقلة حول الشباب والسلام والأمن 발행 연도: 2018 단체 저자: United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) | UN. PBSO) استعانت الدراسة بمنهجٍ بحثيّ شامل وتشارُكي من خلال إجراء استشارات إقليمية وشبه إقليمية ووطنية مع مجموعات من الشباب حول العالم؛ وإجراء وتلقي دراسات حالة قطُرية؛ والتكليف بعقد مناقشات جماعية مركّزة مع الشباب الذين "يصعب الوصول إليهم"؛ والاستفادة من وضع خريطة تستند إلى دراسات استقصائية في العمل الذي أجرته منظمات بناء السلام التي يقودها الشباب. وقد بُذل جهد خاص لكي تشمل الدراسة ما يتجاوز الشباب الذين يسهل الوصول إليهم والشباب النخبة، لتصل إلى الشباب الذين لا تسنح لهم الفرصة عادةً للإدلاء بآرائهم حول هذا النوع من عمليات السياسة العامة العالمية. ونظراً لما يمثّله تفاقم عدم ثقة الشباب بحكوماتهم وبالأنظمة المتعددة الأطراف من تحدٍّ، فقد كان من الضروري العمل مع منظمات المجتمع المدني ذات المصداقية التي تتمتّع بعلاقات متينة قائمة على الثقة مع الشباب على أرض الواقع.

Reimagining Life Skills and Citizenship Education in the Middle East and North Africa: A Four-Dimensional and Systems Approach to 21st Century Skills; Conceptual and Programmatic Framework 발행 연도: 2017 단체 저자: UNICEF Middle East and North Africa The situation of learning in MENA calls for a holistic, lifelong and rights-based vision of education that maximizes the potential of all children and youth in the region and better equips them to create meaning out of knowledge and to face the transitions from childhood to adulthood, from education to work, and from unreflective development to responsible and active citizenship. This is what drives the MENA Life Skills and Citizenship Education (LSCE) Initiative, kicked off in 2015 with the aim of supporting the countries of the region – conceptually, programmatically and technically – to improve learning and to better invest such learning in individual, social and economic development.The LSCE Conceptual and Programmatic Framework (CPF) puts forth a roadmap to guide policies, strategies and programmes on life skills and citizenship education supporting the region-wide efforts to provide children and youth with opportunities to learn, transition from childhood to adulthood, move from school to work settings, and become responsible and active citizens of their communities.A set of twelve core life skills for MENA has been identified using the four-dimensional learning model: ‘Learning to Know’ (Cognitive Dimension), ‘Learning to Do’ (Instrumental Dimension), ‘Learning to Be’ (Individual Dimension), and ‘Learning to Live Together’ (Social Dimension). The twelve core life skills are life-long, and they build on evidence that underlines the importance of skills acquisition from an early age. Furthermore, the twelve core life skills are acquired and sustained through all forms of learning in a systems approach that recognizes multiple pathways of learning, formal, non-formal and informal. It does not evaluate existing interventions, nor is it meant to generate an exhaustive list of all existing life skills programmes in MENA. It rather aims to provide an analytical overview of Life Skills and Citizenship Education (LSCE) related intervention in the region. Through analyzation, it also attempts to highlight general challenges encountered in the programming of LSCE, as well as focus on opportunities for LSCE in MENA national education systems.
