세계시민성에 관한 교사의 인식 비교: 지리 교사와 타교과 교사의 차이를 중심으로 (한국지리환경교육학회지; Vol. 32, No. 1) 발행 연도: 2024 저자: 손은영 | 이상율 | 최재영 단체 저자: 한국지리환경교육학회 세계시민성을 함양하기 위한 세계시민교육에 대한 관심이 증대되고 있으며, 2022 개정 교육과정에서 ‘세계시민과 지리’가고등학교 지리 일반선택 과목으로 편성되었다. 본 연구의 목적은 지리 교사와 타교과 교사 간 세계시민성 및 세계시민교육의 이해도, 학교 현장에서의 교수･학습 실행 상황을 비교하여 세계시민교육의 방향성에 대해 고찰하고자 한다. 이를 위해 현직 지리 교사들과 타교과 교사들을 대상으로 설문 및 인터뷰를 실시하였고, 나아가 타교과를 사회과(지리과 제외) 및 사회과 외 타교과로 세분하여 그 차이를 살펴보았다. 또한, 교사들의 세계에 대한 인식, 잠재적 편견 정도, 잠재적 편견에 영향을 준 원인을 설문과 인터뷰를통해 알아보고 비판적 세계시민성의 관점에서 논하였다. 본 연구는 교사들의 세계시민교육 인식 연구를 구체화하여 지리 교사와타교과 교사들의 세계시민성 및 세계시민교육에 대한 인식 차이를 밝혔다는 데에 의의가 있다.

Pese a los considerables avances que se han alcanzado desde la entrada en vigor de la Convención, ningún país puede reivindicar aún haber logrado plenamente la igualdad entre los géneros.Los progresos conseguidos en materia de derechos humanos de la mujer y de igualdad de género están en un grave riesgo de invertirse fruto de diversas crisis, que abarcan desde la pandemia de COVID-19 y la triple crisis planetaria relativa al cambio climático, la contaminación y la pérdida de biodiversidad, hasta los conflictos armados y el desplazamiento, y el alza del autoritarismo. La igualdad de género es un elemento fundamental del desarrollo sostenible y la paz. Las dificultades actuales no se pueden sortear si las mujeres —que constituyen la mitad de la población mundial— quedan excluidas de una participación y un liderazgo plenos y equitativos en los ámbitos económico, político y social. OHCHR) Plus de quarante ans après son adoption, la Convention sur l’élimination de toutes les formes de discrimination à l’égard des femmes reste un cadre essentiel et ambitieux de promotion de l’égalité des sexes dans tous les domaines – depuis le contexte familial et scolaire jusque dans les conseils d’administration et les sphères dirigeantes de la politique. Si des progrès considérables ont été accomplis depuis l’entrée en vigueur de la Convention, aucun pays ne peut encore prétendre avoir atteint une égalité pleine et entière entre les hommes et les femmes.Au cours des vingt dernières années, une relation très étroite s’est développée entre le Comité pour l’élimination de la discrimination à l’égard des femmes – organe conventionnel chargé de contrôler l’application de la Convention – et l’Union interparlementaire (UIP). Grâce à cette collaboration, des parlementaires du monde entier ont approfondi leur connaissance de la Convention et se sont, en nombre croissant, impliqués dans l’important exercice d’établissement du de rapports périodiques au Comité qui rend compte de la mise en œuvre de la Convention au niveau national. Nombre de parlementaires ont posé des questions au gouvernement, ont proposé ou modifié des lois, mené des opérations de sensibilisation dans leurs circonscriptions et se sont engagés auprès de l’Organisation des Nations Unies pour réduire l’écart entre les promesses de la Convention et la réalité qui est celle des femmes et des filles au quotidien. 
Gender Bias, Citizen Participation, and AI (Policy Research Working Papers; Planet; RRR; 11046) 발행 연도: 2025 저자: Jose Antonio Cuesta Leiva | Natalia Gisel Pecorari 단체 저자: World Bank This paper investigates the role of gender bias in artificial intelligence–driven analyses of citizen participation, using data from the 2023 Latinobarómetro Survey. The paper proposes that gender bias—whether societal, data driven, or algorithmic—significantly affects civic engagement. Using machine learning, particularly decision trees, the analysis explores how self-reported societal bias (machismo norms) interacts with personal characteristics and circumstances to shape civic participation. The findings show that individuals with reportedly low levels of gender bias, who express political interest, have high levels of education, and align with left-wing views, are more likely to participate. The paper also explores different strategies to mitigate gender bias in both the data and the algorithms, demonstrating that gender bias remains a persistent factor even after applying corrective measures. Notably, lower machismo thresholds are required for participation in more egalitarian societies, with men needing to exhibit especially low machismo levels. Ultimately, the findings emphasize the importance of integrated strategies to tackle gender bias and increase participation, offering a framework for future studies to expand on nonlinear and complex social dynamics.

Learning at Risk: the Impact of Climate Displacement on the Right to Education; Global Report 발행 연도: 2023 단체 저자: UNESCO How climate displacement the impacts the right to education The growing impacts of climate change and displacement on education can no longer be ignored. The increasing number of people displaced due to climate change faces unique vulnerabilities, especially in terms of access to education. This challenge is not only attributed to the often limited political and legal recognition of these displaced persons, but also stems from the global community’s lack of awareness of the diverse obstacles they encounter in seeking access to education. This global report, which concludes the “Initiative on the impact of climate change and displacement on the right to education”, aims to provide guidance to policy-makers worldwide on how to better respect, protect and fulfil the right to education of climate-displaced people. It provides an overview of climate-induced barriers to education, and global policy guidance on how to ensure the protection of the right to education of these populations. The report will inform UNESCO’s Initiative on “The evolving right to education within a lifelong learning perspective” which is investigating how the right to education, as enshrined in international normative instruments, could be strengthened to meet modern needs in our rapidly changing societies. 
Disability Equality in the Media: Representation, Accessibility, Management; Practical Manual 발행 연도: 2025 단체 저자: UNESCO Promoting Disability Equality in the Media Despite all the positive changes happening in newsrooms and leadership roles, diversity in the media remains a challenge.When certain groups are left out, the media fails to present all angles of a story, missing diverse perspectives and innovative ideas. Consequently, audiences do not receive the full picture, and promises of fair and accurate representation often fall short, affecting our perceptions of each other in society. It is the case of persons with disabilities, who make up 16 percent of the global population but remain one of the most marginalized groups. Media coverage frequently overlooks them, and when their stories are told, they are often framed through stereotypes. This not only creates barriers but also denies them their rights. To address this, media organizations should enhance editorial policies and representation, improve employment conditions, and foster a more inclusive environment for professionals with disabilities.The Practical Manual and Master Class provide hands-on advice to editorial teams on how to ensure fair and unbiased coverage of disability. For content producers, it details how to make media content and services accessible. To managers and decision makers, the material inspires change, demonstrating how disability equality can contribute to media industry growth and create new revenue streams.This work contributes to the implementation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (2006) and promotes freedom of expression, media development, and access to information for the meaningful participation of persons with disabilities in public debate.
