Beysenova The implementation of gender policy in modern Kazakhstan society is an important direction of state policy, when this area becomes an important resource for strengthening Kazakhstan's statehood and modernization of society. Gender policy implementation is one of the main factors for achieving democracy. As part of a gender study conducted by the Public Foundation “Institute for Equal Rights and Equal Opportunities of Kazakhstan” (Almaty) with the support of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan’s attitude to the main areas of gender policy implementation was studied. Алматы) при поддержке Представительства Фонда имени Фридриха Эберта в Казахстане было изучено отношение казахстанцев к основным направлениям реализации гендерной политики. 
The promise of large-scale learning assessments 발행 연도: 2019 단체 저자: UNESCO The benefits and advantages of Large-scale learning assessments(LSLAs) have been extensively reviewed in specialized literature, and there is growing recognition of the potential of assessment data to inform policy in a variety of ways. As a result, increasingly higher expectations have been placed on LSLAs as drivers of policy change over the past few decades. They are indeed expected to serve a range of uses, including monitoring, accountability, agenda-setting and analysis. The potential of such tools reaches far beyond reporting purposes. They can provide insight into areas in need of improvement and help pinpoint the most appropriate, promising and effective policy interventions. However, both national and cross-national learning assessments have raised some concerns. A growing volume of evidence calls attention to a range of unexpected and even negative effects resulting from such exercises. Drawing on a diverse body of evidence, including scholarly literature and the experience of a range of international organizations, development partners and assessment specialists, this publication reflects on the possible unintended consequences of LSLAs. Some concerns stem directly from the characteristics inherent to their design while others centre around the (mis)uses of data to inform agenda-setting and policy formulation.

Morgan co-organized the 16th UNESCO-APEID International Conference, The Heart of Education: Learning to Live Together in November 2012 in Bangkok, Thailand. The Conference provided a forum for participants to share their knowledge and experiences, raise critical questions, provide constructive feedback and, most of all, express their commitment to imbue and translate the essence of learning to live together in their respective educational efforts. This report contains selected papers presented at the Conference to reflect the linkages between learning and social development, showcase approaches and tools, and identify enabling policies and instruments to promote learning to live together. Educational systems of Central Asian countries: challenges, risks and prospects for regional cooperation 발행 연도: 2014 저자: Nikolay A. Medushevskiy | Alisa R. Shishkina This article discusses the development of educational systems of Central Asian states after the collapse of the USSR and their independence. Each country has formed their own path of development of education - from orientation (sometimes not too thoughtful) on Western standards to a pronounced desire to limit external influence. The educational systems of the Central Asian countries need a serious reformation, aimed primarily at modernizing the technical base and textbooks, training modern personnel, introducing international mechanisms and standards. EIU Best Practice Series No. 5: Peace and human rights education through education for sustainable development: lessons from four case studies in the Philippines 발행 연도: 2007 단체 저자: APCEIU The four case studies showed that EIU through peace and human rights education in the context of education for sustainable development can build a critical mass of Filipinos who will reject wars and promote social security. Education can play a role to direct the children, youth, and adults toward peace building and better understanding of cultural differences. It should also be noted that when institutions adopt a peace culture, establishing local and international organizations and putting up resources for various peace-building initiatives become possible. Educational intervention can effect changes in the minds of men and build a lasting and substantive foundation for peace based on justice and respect for human rights. La paix et les droits de l'éducation par l'éducation pour le développement durable: les leçons de quatre études de cas aux Philippines (Meilleure série ECI de cas d'étude no. 5) 발행 연도: 2007 단체 저자: APCEIU Les quatre études de cas ont montré que ECI par l'éducation de la paix et les droits de l'homme dans le contexte de l'éducation pour le développement durable peut constituer une masse critique de Philippins qui rejettent les guerres et promouvoir la sécurité sociale. L'éducation peut jouer un rôle pour diriger les enfants, les jeunes et les adultes vers la construction de la paix et une meilleure compréhension des différences culturelles. Il convient également de noter que lorsque les institutions adoptent une culture de la paix, la création d'organisations locales et internationales et de mettre en place des ressources pour diverses initiatives de consolidation de la paix deviennent possibles. L'intervention éducative peut effectuer des changements dans l'esprit des hommes et de construire une base durable et de fond pour la paix fondée sur la justice et le respect des droits de l'homme.
