Global Citizenship Education Tools and Piloting Experiences of Four Countries: Cambodia, Colombia, Mongolia and Uganda 발행 연도: 2018 저자: Opertti Renato | Hyekyung Kang | Magni Giorgia 단체 저자: UNESCO International Bureau of Education (IBE) | APCEIU This report analyses the progresses made by Cambodia, Colombia, Mongolia and Uganda in the development and piloting of GCED tools, designed within the framework of UNESCO Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU)’s and International Bureau of Education (IBE)’s three-year cooperation project, “Global Citizenship Education Curriculum Development and Integration”. Based on the needs identified through the situational analyses carried out during Phase I, the four countries have developed tailored tools to mainstream GCED in their own context and piloted them during Phase II. Through an in-depth analysis of the tools as well as of their piloting processes, this report aims at understanding the extent to which GCED concepts are embedded and integrated into these tools and the way in which these tools contribute to the overall GCED teaching and learning practices in each context. What results from the findings is that the four countries, despite some setbacks due mainly to the strict timeline, have made significant progress in developing innovative strategies to integrate GCED principles into their education policies and practices. Finally, this report concludes with the suggestions for these tools to be effectively implemented during Phase III, particularly for this project, and for any further initiative around GCED areas. These include educating parents in how to care for their children and help them learn, as well as providing community-run and formal preschool programmes for pre-primary school-aged boys and girls. Given the varying needs of children from birth to eight years, educators have found it best to have different policies and strategies for children below and above three years of age. This brief focuses on the gender issues in the services provided for children who are three years of age or older in the Asia-Pacific region. Its scope is informed by UNESCO's commitment to holistic pre-primary services for this age group. The goal is to provide early childhood education that helps girls and boys succeed in primary school and in learning throughout their lives. The brief starts by looking into the growth of ECCE in the Asia-Pacific region and what is driving this growth. It explores why gender responsiveness is important in early childhood education, gives practical examples of what this looks like, and discusses the challenges of providing ECCE that equally values and benefits each girl and each boy. Flowing from this, the brief concludes with recommendations on how to make ECCE more gender responsive De solides fondations pour l'égalité des sexes dans les soins de la petite enfance et de l'éducation: le plaidoyer bref 발행 연도: 2007 단체 저자: UNESCO Le terme de l’éducation et la protection de la petite enfance (EPPE) fait référence aux services pour les enfants de la naissance à huit ans.
