Una educación transformadora, orientada a la construcción y el mantenimiento de la paz es más urgente que nunca, dado el aumento de los conflictos en diversos frentes.La Recomendación sobre la Educación para la Paz y los Derechos Humanos, la Comprensión Internacional, la Cooperación, las Libertades Fundamentales, la Ciudadanía Mundial y el Desarrollo Sostenible, que fue adoptada por los 194 Estados Miembros de la UNESCO en 2023, articula la visión humanista y transformadora de la educación que ayuda a abordar los actuales y futuros agravios a la paz. Estos desafíos abarcan desde el resurgimiento de conflictos impulsados por desigualdades e injusticias sistémicas, el auge y la propagación del discurso de odio, el racismo y la discriminación—especialmente en línea—, hasta los efectos adversos de las tecnologías digitales y la amenaza existencial del cambio climático.La UNESCO ha elaborado esta Guía como la primera de varias herramientas que ayudarán a los Estados miembro a comprender e implementar plenamente la Recomendación de 2023. Su contenido ha sido desarrollado integrando la perspectiva transdisciplinaria para conectar conceptos y cuestiones clave de la Recomendación de 2023. Además, proporciona ideas concretas y recursos seleccionados para la acción en distintos niveles y tipos de educación. Asimismo, promueve un enfoque multisectorial que parte de las iniciativas positivas ya en marcha y busca la inclusión de todas las personas.Esta Guía es una incorporación oportuna al conjunto de recursos colectivos disponibles para implementar plenamente la Recomendación de 2023 y promover así una educación transformadora para un mundo justo y pacífico.

Face à la multiplication des conflits sur de nombreux fronts, jamais la nécessité d’une éducation transformée, orientée vers la construction et le maintien de la paix, n’a été aussi pressante. La Recommandation sur l’éducation pour la paix et les droits de l’homme, la compréhension internationale, la coopération, les libertés fondamentales, la citoyenneté mondiale et le développement durable, adoptée en 2023 par l’ensemble des 194 États membres de l’UNESCO, exprime une vision humaniste et transformatrice de l’éducation, capable de répondre aux défis actuels et futurs à la paix. Ces défis vont de la résurgence de conflits alimentés par les inégalités et injustices systémiques, à la montée et la diffusion des discours de haine, du racisme et de la discrimination – notamment en ligne – en passant par les effets négatifs des technologies numériques et la menace existentielle que constitue le changement climatique. L’UNESCO a élaboré le présent Guide comme le premier d’une série d’outils destinés à aider les États membres à comprendre et à mettre pleinement en œuvre la Recommandation de 2023. Le Guide développe son contenu, en intégrant la perspective transdisciplinaire de la Recommandation afin de relier concepts et enjeux clés. Il propose également des pistes concrètes et des ressources sélectionnées pour 2 milliards de personnes – un quart de l’humanité – vivent dans des zones touchées par des conflits l’action à différents niveaux et dans divers types d’éducation, tout en appelant à une approche multi-acteurs et à l’échelle de la société, qui inclut toutes et tous et s’appuie sur les efforts positifs déjà entrepris. Le Guide constitue une ressource collective opportune pour mettre pleinement en œuvre la Recommandation de 2023 et promouvoir une éducation véritablement transformatrice au service d’un monde plus juste et pacifique.

3rd Global Forum Against Racism and Discrimination: Final Document 발행 연도: 2024 단체 저자: UNESCO The third edition of the Global Forum against Racism and Discrimination with the theme “Race to the top: putting racial equity and justice at the forefront of development agendas” was held in São Paulo, Brazil, on 29 November 2023 and 1 December 2023. At the invitation of Brazil, in partnership with the Ford Foundation, the Open Society Foundations, the Mover Foundation, Instituto Ibirapitanga, the Global Forum highlighted the importance of placing racial issues at the core of development and implementation strategies, with a view to socioeconomic development. The Global Forum welcomed Ministers, high-ranking officials of national bodies responsible for combating discrimination and promoting equality, mayors of the International Coalition of Inclusive and Sustainable Cities - ICCAR, academics, scientists, civil society actors, NGOs, artists and digital influencers to share good practices, strengthen commitments and discuss effective strategies to combat racism and various forms of discriminations, including recommendations on how to proceed. The Global Forum’s agenda covered several topics, such as co-creating inclusive policies with impacted communities’ inputs; increasing awareness-raising on historical systems such as transatlantic enslavement to better comprehend and dismantle their contemporary legacies such as racism; progress towards gender equality; enhancing the capacities of civil society to be an agent of change; addressing artificial intelligence and its role in perpetuating racism; protecting the rights of indigenous peoples; establishing legal and policy frameworks prioritizing anti-racism and anti-discrimination on a local and global scale; strengthening the roles of cities, civic spaces, artistic and academic communities; enhancing the importance of informed data baseline on equality for governments; and promoting social philanthropy to address racial inequality. The 2023 edition was also marked by the launch of new initiatives. One of the main outcomes of the Global Forum is the establishment of the UNESCO Network of Anti-Racism and Anti-Discrimination Officials aiming to strengthen the development of innovative and inclusive policy solutions for peace, equity and non-discrimination. UNESCO has launched the new UNESCO Anti-Racism Toolkit, the Gender-Based Resilience Framework, the ‘Let’s Talk‘ project with Harvard University to combat prejudice against migrants, and the development of a new joint OECD-UNESCO briefing on combating discrimination against migrants. Volume X of the UNESCO General History of Africa, entitled Africa and its Diasporas, was also launched during the Global Forum. The publication offers a mapping of African diasporas throughout the world, valorizing their contributions to modern societies. 
Addressing Violent Pasts through Education: A Policy Guide 발행 연도: 2025 단체 저자: UNESCO Teaching about violent pasts and their legacies is a powerful way to foster sustainable peace.Education can build a nuanced understanding of complex histories, raise awareness of the roots and legacies of violence, nationally and internationally, and sensitize learners for their own agency as actors of change for reconciliation and conflict prevention.Educating about violent pasts is a challenging yet critical endeavour for policy-makers globally. It entails tailored approaches and an important support for educators to address traumatic pasts sensitively and to navigate related emotions and narratives successfully.Building on UNESCO’s programme on Global Citizenship Education, this guide offers education policy-makers a set of strategies, principles, and education practices to effectively integrate education about violent pasts into local education systems. It suggests a comprehensive approach that spans formal and informal education and aligns with the 2023 Recommendation on Education for Peace, Human Rights and Sustainable Development, opening new perspectives on history education, dialogue, and conflict transformation. 
Inaugural Meeting of the GCED Actors' Platform: Final Report 발행 연도: 2020 단체 저자: APCEIU This final report gives an overview of discussions and outcomes from the “Inaugural Meeting of the GCED Actors’ Platform” on 2 September 2019 in Seoul, Republic of Korea, held back-to-back with the 4th International Conference on GCED (3-4 September 2019, Seoul) In line with the call for closer collaboration on GCED inter-regionally, the GCED Actors’ Platform was launched by UNESCO Headquarters and APCEIU in 2019. Convening regional coordinators and different partners working on GCED, the “Inaugural Meeting of the GCED Actors’ Platform” provided an open space for the participants to discuss ways to coordinate activities and promote synergies.The regional representatives have imparted their own experiences and challenges on the ground and shared best practices of facilitating GCED. 
The GCED Actors' Platform and the Regional GCED Networks Initiative: Activating Partnerships for Global Citizenship Education 발행 연도: 2020 단체 저자: APCEIU This brief publication introduces and summarizes the flagship GCED Network initiatives supported by APCEIU implemented globally and regionally.UNESCO Headquarters and APCEIU co-convened the launch of the GCED Actors’ Platform in which gathered key partners across the globe and representing five Regional GCED Networks. These five Regional GCED Networks include Sub-Saharan Africa, Arab States, Asia-Pacific, Europe and North America, and Latin America and the Caribbean are formed to identify regional priorities and implement regional strategies to promote GCED. The publication also showcases successful independent activities by organizations part of the GCED Network initiative.
