It has been divided into four chapters. The first chapter deals with a statement of the concept of sustainable development, its dimensions and the development it has witnessed, as well as clarification of the indicators of sustainable social, economic, environmental and institutional development. The second chapter reviews the institutional and legislative developments for sustainable development in the State of Qatar, and the most important initiatives undertaken by the state to achieve sustainable development, in addition to a statement of the most important strategies and policies developed by the state in the social, economic, environmental and institutional fields of sustainable development. As for the third chapter, it deals with the analysis of the most important indicators of sustainable social, economic, environmental and institutional development, and its strengths and weaknesses, while the fourth and final chapter reviews the most important challenges facing sustainable development in the State of Qatar.

This report is a contribution to the discussion of the Dialogue on Formation for Democracy and Secondary Education in Latin America. In this text, we present an analysis of the results of a survey on education for democracy carried out as part of the activities of the Education Network, which was sent by the Bank to the member countries of the Dialogue2. We frame these results in a conceptualization of what it means to educate for democracy. We complement the discussion with information from additional sources that illuminate different aspects of the conceptual framework proposed here. Enmarcamos estos resultados en una conceptualización sobre qué significa educar para la democracia. Complementamos la discusión con información de fuentes adicionales que iluminan distintos aspectos del marco conceptual que aquí proponemos. 
تطوير التعليم الفني : مدخل للقضاء على الطبقية وتحقيق العدالة الاجتماعية 발행 연도: 2013 저자: سكران، محمد محمد 단체 저자: Cairo University عرضت هذه الورقة لواقع التعليم الفني في مصر باعتباره يعاني وضعا مأساويا بسبب ظروف نشأته وموقعه بين نظم تعليمية لم تفسح للتعليم الفني مكانا فيها. من المشكلات التي تواجهه: 1) البطالة التي يعاني منها 80 % من خريجي هذه المدارس. 2) القصور الواضح في الإمكانيات المادية والبشرية، والنقص الواضح في المعدات والاعتماد في تدريب المجالات التطبيقية على الحفظ والاستظهار، وعدم الربط بين النظرية والتطبيق. 3) عدم وجود المشاركة والتنسيق بين التعليم الفني والمؤسسات الإنتاجية والخدمية، والعجز الشديد في العديد من التخصصات التي يحتاجها سوق العمل. 4) الغياب الواضح للقطاع الخاص في هذا النوع من التعليم. كما عرضت الورقة لبعض المقترحات التي يمكن أن تغير في الحد من الطبقية وتحقيق العدالة الاجتماعية للتعليم الفني في مصر، ومن هذه المقترحات: 1) ضرورة العمل على إعادة صياغة الأهداف الأساسية للتعليم الثانوي الفني في ضوء العوامل الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والسياسية المؤثرة في توجهات التنمية. 2) إعادة النظر في سياسة مؤسسات التعليم الثانوي الفني بحيث تتحول من مؤسسات تعليمية تقليدية إلى مؤسسات تعليمية إنتاجية وذلك من خلال تزويدها بالوسائل التعليمية الحديثة والاهتمام بالتأهيل والتدريب. 3) ضرورة الربط بين التخطيط للتعليم الفني والتخطيط للتنمية الاقتصادية والاجتماعية. 4) مواكبة سياسات وبرامج التعليم الفني للتقدم التكنولوجي المعاصر. Developing Vocational Education: An Introduction to Abolish Classism and Realize Social Justice 발행 연도: 2013 저자: سكران، محمد محمد 단체 저자: Cairo University The paper deals with technical education in Egypt that is going through a tragic situation due to its founding circumstances and its position among the education systems that do not allow technical education a space. The problems facing technical education include: 1) 80% unemployment among its graduates; 2) the obvious shortcomings in financial and human capacities, the obvious shortage in equipment, the relying on rote learning and the failure to connect theory to practice. 3) the lack of participation and coordination between technical education and institutions of production and services and the severe deficit in in the specializations that the labor market needs. 4) the clear absence of the role of the private sector in this type of education. The paper also presents some suggestions that could put a limit to class aspect in and create social justice for the technical education. The suggestions include: 1) the necessity to redefine the basic objectives of technical secondary education in light of the economic, social and political factors that influence the directions of development; 2) Reconsider the policies of the institutions of technical secondary education in order to transform them from traditional education institutions to productive technical ones by providing them with modern teaching means and attending to training and qualification; 3) the nescessity to connect technical education planning to the economic and social planning; 4) coping with the policies and programs of the of contemporary technological advancement. 
تعليم القيم الأميركية : دور كتب الإجتماعيات المدرسية الأميركية 발행 연도: 2005 저자: بيدرسون، باتريشيا 단체 저자: Lebanese Association for Educational Studies (LAES) يتناول البحث دور كتاب الاجتماعيات في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية في نقل القيم إلى جمهور التلاميذ، فيشيير إلى عدم وجود منهج واحد للاجتماعيات في هذا البلد ولكن ذلك لا يمنع الولايات أو بعضها من استعمال كتاب مدرسي واحد أحياناً. وتشدد كتب الاجتماعيات الأمريكية على قيم المواطنية الصالحة والتعاون والاعتماد المتبادل والتسامح في بلد يتميز بتعددية عرقية ودينية وقومية كثيرة. كما تشدد الكتب على مهارات الاستعلام التي هي ضرورية في أي وضعية ديموقراطية نشيطة. وتتكفل كتب الاجتماعيات بمهمة نقل مواصفات الهوية القومية الأمريكية ولذلك فإن هذه الكتب تشكل نافذة للإطلاع على القيم والمعتقدات التي تسود في المجتمع الأمريكي. من جهة أخرى، يطال البحث تطور المفاهيم والقيم الاجتماعية الأمريكية من المرحلة العنصرية البيضاء إلى مرحلة التعددية الثقافية الراهنة القائمة على الحرية والفصل بين الدين والدنيا والحكم ودولة القانون والفردية وحقوق الإنسان. ويتحدث البحث عن خمس مجموعات من المعايير الخاصة بالعلوم الاجتماعية وتدريسها والتي صدرت في تسعينيات القرن الماضي في أمريكا، وهي تشكل منطلقاً. لبناء مناهج الاجتماعيات في مختلف الولايات الأمريكية ولتقويم تحصيل التلميذ في هذه المادة. وهكذا فقد أصبح لدى ناشري الكتب المدرسية الأمريكية تبرز تقليدياً الولايات المتحدة كبلد يمضي قدماً دائماً ويستطيع فيه كل فرد أن يحقق النجاح.
