Asia-Pacific Digital Transformation Report 2024: Digital Innovation for Smarter Climate Action 발행 연도: 2024 단체 저자: UN. Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN. ESCAP) In Asia and the Pacific, the climate crisis intersects with digital transformations through a complex mix of challenges and opportunities, creating a series of vicious but also potentially virtuous cycles. The Asia-Pacific Digital Transformation Report 2024 considers how digital transformations will structurally and irreversibly affect the trajectory of climate change. It presents a digital-growth-climate nexus to better understand the diverse and dynamic picture and considers ways in which the region can follow the most positive trajectory to avert a climate catastrophe. The Report showcases good practices and country examples of digital applications in addressing climate change, in terms of mitigation and adaptation. These can involve the use of artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, big data, digital twins, geospatial technologies and others, which have been employed in infrastructure, government, mobility, industry and trade, digital data centres, disaster risk reduction, agriculture and biodiversity ecosystems. The Report then explores key drivers of digital transformation for climate change and outlines three future scenarios. It concludes with the key findings of the Report and proposes policy actions aligned with the five actors of the Digital Transformation Index Framework.

The report reflects on the 2030 Refugee Education Strategy (launched in 2019) and where notable progress has been made as well as areas where greater investment and enhanced collaboration are needed to meet the strategic objectives of the Strategy. 
The Role of Digital Citizenship in the Use of Technology and Reducing the Risks Resulting from it (Alustath Journal for Human and Social Sciences; vol.59, no.3) 발행 연도: 2020 저자: Amal Mohammed Abdullah Albado 단체 저자: University of Baghdad. College of Education Ibn Rushd The current study aims to know the role of digital citizenship in the use of technology and reducing the risks resulting from it. The researcher uses the descriptive analytical approach and makes a questionnaire to know if there is a role for the digital citizenship in the use of technology and reducing the dangers caused by it. The study sample consists of (102) employees in the Ministry of Education Marka Brigade (the fourth Amman qasaba). The questionnaire consists of two main axes: the first axis, which is defined as the concept of digital citizenship, the second axis is the role of digital citizenship in the use of technology and reducing the dangers of technology. The results of the study show that the awareness of the sample of the study of the concept of digital citizenship is on a high level, on average that equals (3.887) of the Likert quinary scale and the standard deviation is equal to (0.97). The results also show a strong role for citizens in reducing the dangers caused by technology where the arithmetic mean equals (4.2) and the standard deviation was (0.94). 
تصور مقترح لدور الجامعات في تطوير وعي الطلبة بالمواطنة الرقمية في ضوء متطلبات العصر الرقمي وتحدياته جامعة بيشة أنموذجًا (مجلة الآداب للدراسات النفسية والتربوية; vol.14, no.1) 발행 연도: 2022 저자: Sheikha Abdullah Al-Briki Balabied 단체 저자: Dhamar University هدفت الدراسة إلى قياس درجة وعي طلبة الجامعة بالمواطنة الرقمية، ووضع تصور مقترح في ضوء نتائج الدراسة تضمن إطار عمل لتفعيل دور الجامعات في تنمية وعي الطلبة بالمواطنة الرقمية في ضوء متطلبات وتحديات العصر الرقمي. استُخدم المنهج الوصفي التحليلي من خلال تصميم استبانة لقياس درجة وعي الطلبة بالمواطنة الرقمية. ولتحقيق ذلك اتبعت الباحثة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي من خلال الدراسة الاستطلاعية وبناء استبانة لقياس درجة وعي الطلبة بالمواطنة الرقمية. وكانت أبرز النتائج أن درجة وعي الطلاب بالمواطنة الرقمية "مرتفعة جدًا"، بالإضافة إلى عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطات درجات الذكور والإناث، وكذلك بين متوسطات درجات طلاب الكليات النظرية والعملية على إجمالي مقياس الوعي بالمواطنة الرقمية. A Suggested Proposal for the Role of Universities in Developing Students’ Awareness of Digital Citizenship in Light of Requirements and Challenges of the Digital Age: A Case Study of Bisha University (Arts for Educational & Psychological Studies; vol.14, no.1) 발행 연도: 2022 저자: Sheikha Abdullah Al-Briki Balabied 단체 저자: Dhamar University The study aimed to measure the degree of students’ awareness of the digital citizenship at the University of Bisha, and to develop a proposed scenario in the light of the results of the study, which included a framework for activating the role of universities in developing their students' awareness of digital citizenship to meet the requirements and challenges of the digital age. The analytical descriptive method was used by conducting an exploratory study and designing a questionnaire to measure the degree of students' awareness of digital citizenship. The most prominent results were that the degree of students' awareness of digital citizenship was "very high" on the total digital citizenship awareness scale. There were no statistically significant differences between the average scores of males and females, nor between the average degrees of students of theoretical and practical colleges on the total digital citizenship awareness scale. 
초등 글로벌 이슈 중심 사회과 프로젝트 수업이 세계시민성 함양에 미치는 영향 (시민교육연구; Vol. 56, No. 2) 발행 연도: 2024 저자: 오고은 단체 저자: 한국사회과교육학회 오늘날 세계화로 인해 상호 의존성과 연결성이 극도로 심화된 상황에서 한 국가의 힘만으로는 해결하기 어려운 여러 글로벌 이슈들이 나타나게 되었다. 이러한 상황에서 사회과의 세계시민교육은 학생들이 글로벌 이슈를 해결하고 세계를 더욱 정의로운 곳으로 만들기 위해 행동할 수 있도록 하는 세계시민성을 함양해야 할 역할을 담당하고 있다. 본 연구는 이에 대응하여 초등학생들의 세계시민성을 함양할 수 있도록 하는 사회과의 효과적인 교수-학습 방법을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 사회과 프로젝트 수업과 이슈 중심 수업(쟁점 중심 수업)을 결합하여 글로벌 이슈 중심 사회과 프로젝트 수업을 제안하였다. 이 수업은 학생 중심으로 글로벌 이슈를 심도 깊게 탐구하고 이를 해결할 수 있는 실천 경험을 풍부하게 제공하여 세계시민성의 인지, 사회-정서, 행동적 영역을 총체적으로 향상시킬 것으로 예상되었다. 실제로 수업 실험을 한 결과, 실험 집단 학생들의 세계시민성을 이루는 인지, 사회-정서, 행동적 영역의 전 영역에서 세계시민성 지표 점수가 향상된 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이는 글로벌 이슈 중심 사회과 프로젝트 수업이 학생들이 세계화의 시대에 갖추어야 하는 세계시민성을 총체적으로 함양하는 데 매우 효과적인 방식임을 보여준다. 특히, 공교육 상황에서 주로 활용되는 강의식 수업과의 비교에서도 글로벌 이슈 중심 사회과 프로젝트 수업이 세계를 더욱 정의로운 곳으로 변화시키는 역량인 세계시민성의 행동적 영역을 더욱 효과적으로 향상시키는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로, 오늘날 세계에서 행동적 영역의 세계시민성 함양이 더욱 강조되는 상황에 비추어, 본 연구에서 제시하는 글로벌 이슈 중심 사회과 프로젝트 수업을 세계시민교육에서 더욱 적극적으로 활용해야 할 당위성이 제기된다.

The hospitality and tourism sector is a cornerstone for the global economy, yet its substantial environmental footprint necessitates urgent innovation. Embracing the use of cuttingedge technology, such as AI-driven customer management and smart analysis of energy consumption, can help mitigate these impacts and foster green, sustainable solutions. As digitalization and sustainability redefine the industry, traditional job roles are undergoing continuous transformation, impacting the day-to-day tasks and activities of workers. The integration of emerging green and digital competencies into TVET is crucial for steering this transformation. By equipping workers with relevant qualifications and competencies, TVET holds the key to a greener and digitally driven sector. This publication proposes approaches to facilitate the dual transition in hospitality and tourism, structured around the identification of emerging green and digital competencies in a timely manner, their integration into future-oriented curricula, and their effective implementation in TVET. Drawing on practical examples from Africa, Asia-Pacific and Europe, it offers actionable recommendations for policymakers and practitioners. TVET stakeholders from across the globe are invited to embrace innovation and engage in the transfer of knowledge and good practices to unlock the sector’s potential for a green and digitally just transformation. 
Assessment of Teacher Competencies in Selected Provinces of Afghanistan (2023) 발행 연도: 2024 단체 저자: UNESCO Kabul UNESCO Kabul Office commissioned a study aimed at assessing the competencies of Grade 3 teachers. A total of 617 teachers from 223 randomly selected schools across five provinces in Afghanistan participated in the study. Overall, although surveyed grade 3 teachers demonstrated a high level of self-perception regarding teaching competencies, they had low content knowledge. There remained room for improvement in terms of pedagogical skills among participating teachers. 
SDG Pulse 2024: The Pulse of Progress Towards the Sustainable Development Goals 발행 연도: 2024 단체 저자: United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) The SDG Pulse reveals progress in various areas, but setbacks continue to undermine momentum. Economic and social distress, particularly for those most in need, is exacerbated by the war in Ukraine, and in Gaza, leading to longer and more expensive trade routes, increased hunger and food insecurity, and rising CO2 emissions, impacting developing countries’ ability to meet the SDGs, and the need for reliable information becomes even more critical. SDG Pulse serves three main purposes: firstly, to update on the evolution of selected official SDG indicators and complementary data and statistics; second, to report on progress in developing new concepts and methodologies for SDG indicators for which UNCTAD is a global custodian; and third, to showcase UNCTAD’s support to member States in implementing the 2030 Agenda. Building on the previous edition, SDG Pulse continues to track progress according to four transformations identified at UNCTAD’s intergovernmental meeting in Bridgetown (UNCTAD, 2021). The report also delves into thematic issues relevant to the 2030 Agenda bringing to the forefront key messages related to trade and multilateralism, development finance, economic diversification, and sustainability and resilience. This year’s In-Focus topic explores gender equality in trade. Despite global advancements, gender inequality persists, affecting women's lives through economic participation, education, health, and political empowerment worldwide. UNCTAD’s new gender equality in trade indicator set helps illuminate gender gaps in trade to inform effective policy actions and accelerate just and equal development. This overview provides a glance at recent developments and analysis related to sustainable development.
