[Резюм] Совместное переосмысление наших перспектив: Новый социальный договор в интересах образования 발행 연도: 2021 단체 저자: International Commission on the Futures of Education | UNESCO
Lifelong Learning Opportunities for All: Medium-Term Strategy 2022–2029 발행 연도: 2022 단체 저자: UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning (UIL) The 2021 Futures of Education report calls for a new social contract for education, with recognition of an extended right to education throughout life. It represents an important restatement of the principles of UNESCO, and particularly its historic focus on our shared humanity, the universal right to education and its rich potential in addressing social, economic and political challenges. The need for a formal recognition of a universal entitlement to lifelong learning was also highlighted in the United Nations Secretary General’s Common Agenda report (also published in 2021) and is increasingly an avowed priority of the global development agenda for education, labour, human rights and sustainability. It is in this context that the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning (UIL) advances its strategy for the next eight years. With this new Medium-Term Strategy (MTS), UIL aims to strike a balance between priorities rooted in the challenges faced by the global community and this new and emerging thinking about – and interest in – lifelong learning. The world must embrace lifelong learning if we are to build fairer societies and a sustainable world.

From Rights to Country-Level Action: Results of the Tenth Consultation of Member States on the 1960 Convention and Recommendation 발행 연도: 2022 저자: Rolla Moumné | Sharlene Bianchi 단체 저자: UNESCO The year 2020 marked a turning point for education worldwide. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic not only amplified the difficulties and revealed existing weaknesses, but also brought the unpreparedness and lack of resilience of national education systems to the fore. The tenth consultation on the 1960 Convention against Discrimination in Education was conducted in precisely this context.Providing a valuable opportunity for States to take stock of the progress made in implementing Convention and sharing interesting national practices, the Consultation revealed continuous and new challenges the education sector faces. The unique timing of the consultation also created an opportunity to report on actions taken to faceadverse effects of the pandemic. This report analyzes and presents the Consultation findings, draws trends, and provides guidance for action. It shows how, by implementing the provisions of the Consultation, States can accelerate progress towards achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4, while invites a reflection on possibly reviewing the framework of the right to education to further respond to new challenges and put an end to increased inequalities worldwide.

Leave No Child Behind: Global Report on Boys’ Disengagement From Education 발행 연도: 2022 단체 저자: UNESCO The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development makes the promise to leave no one behind. While improving educational opportunities for girls globally continues to be of paramount importance to achieve gender equality in and through education, this focus on achieving gender parity and equality must not ignore boys. No less than 132 million boys of primary and secondary school age are out of school. To leave no child behind, UNESCO developed the first global report of this scope on boys’ disengagement from education, bringing together qualitative and quantitative evidence from over 140 countries. As this report shows, addressing boys’ disengagement from and disadvantage in education is not a zero-sum game. Supporting boys does not mean that girls lose out and vice versa. Addressing boys’ disengagement from and disadvantage in education not only benefits boys’ learning, employment opportunities, income and well-being, but it also benefits girls and the broader society.
UNESCO in Action for Gender Equality: 2020-2021 발행 연도: 2022 단체 저자: UNESCO UNESCO’s global priority gender equality took on new meaning over the past biennium. The years 2020 and 2021 have been marked by dramatic social, political, environmental, and economic changes across countries resulting from an unprecedented pandemic: COVID-19. The COVID-19 pandemic magnified deep rooted structural gender inequalities across societies and forced the world to question the degree to which advances towards achieving gender equality had been made since the first UN World Conference on Women held in Beijing. This publication shows how a collective work by all structures of UNESCO has mobilized an extraordinary effort to go beyond a necessary adaptation to a multi-faceted crisis and counter backlashes and strengthen the resilience of women and girls and the systems which protect and empower them around the world through education, sciences, culture, communication, and information.
