School closures have deepened pre-existing learning disparities, within and among countries, due to inequities in access to technology. This brief summarises research findings and provides actionable recommendations for how to equitably scale up digital learning and provide children and young people with the skills to improve their prospects and safeguard their well-being. It pinpoints solutions for education systems’ use of digital and blended learning anchored in a sound pedagogical approach and urges the G20 and other countries to overcome the barriers that limit the potential benefits of digital learning.

In collaboration with NEQMAP, the GEM Centre has conducted a rapid review of policy and practice documents for 14 countries, and an online survey with policy-makers in 7 of them to identify the types of flexible learning strategies that were implemented over the course of this pandemic. An education in emergencies Policy Monitoring Framework was used both to guide the analysis of documents and survey data, and to provide the basis for reporting findings.

The tool from the programme Connect with Respect (CwR) guides teachers in lower secondary schools to deliver a range of activities with their students. The activities can be integrated within a range of subjects, including literacy, social studies, civics/citizenship education, health, life skills and sexuality education.

It pulls together resources from across the education, humanitarian, and development sectors and presents them as clear, concise lists. The resources listed have been selected in response to a survey of INEE members’ needs, and in acknowledgement of the diverse emergency contexts in which INEE members work. While this resource is aimed primarily at INEE members working at a national level, we hope it will be helpful to any organization or individual who advocates for—or wants to advocate for —EiE at a local, regional, or global level. It is by no means an exhaustive list, but it does provide extensive options, ideas, and inspiration for impactful, sustainable, advocacy that can help to ensure a quality, safe, andrelevant education for all who live in emergency and crisis contexts. Elle rassemble des ressources issues des secteurs de l’éducation, humanitaire et du développement et les présente de façon claire sous forme de listes concises. Les ressources figurant dans les listes ont été sélectionnées suite à une enquête sur les besoins des membres de l’INEE et après avoir pris conscience des différents contextes d’urgence dans lesquels les membres de l’INEE travaillent.

Promoting Global Citizenship Education in Arab Universities: A Regional Outlook 발행 연도: 2022 단체 저자: UNESCO Beirut To better understand the situation of GCED in Arab universities, UNESCO commissioned a study to analyse: 1. If GCED is enshrined in their policies, visions, missions, values, objectives, and strategic goals and plans; 2. If students perceive that their universities are developing the learning outcomes of GCED.The study, carried out by UNESCO in 2021, analysed the strategic documents and plans of 34 universities from 17 countries in the Arab region. A survey was also administered to 336 students, primarily in Oman but also including students at several other universities in the Arab region.
