Manual for the Programme to Prevent and Respond to School Violence in East Kazakhstan 발행 연도: 2014 저자: Robin Haarr 단체 저자: United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) School violence can threaten a child’s sense of safety within school, negatively impacting on their ability to learn. The best way to address school violence is to step in promptly, with effective intervention in the first instance. Internationally, ‘best practice’ in preventing and responding to school violence is being used to develop school-wide systems of prevention and intervention.This publication was prepared under the co-operation between the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan, the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Akimat of East Kazakhstan Oblast, the East Kazakhstan State University, and the UNICEF Office in Kazakhstan. It aims to facilitate the prevention of violence towards children in schools in Kazakhstan, with support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway. Primary Prevention Curriculum: The Programme to Prevent Violence Against Children 발행 연도: 2014 저자: Robin Haarr 단체 저자: United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) This publication was prepared under the cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan, the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Kazakhstan, akimat of East Kazakhstan Oblast, the East Kazakhstan State University, and UNICEF Office in Kazakhstan to implement the programme on prevention and response to violence against children in schools in Kazakhstan, with thesupport from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway.This primary prevention curriculum has been developed for use with all students (schoolwide), and each includes specific worksheets and activities that should be taught in chronological order to students between the 3rd and 7th grades.

Countering Online Hate Speech 발행 연도: 2015 저자: Iginio Gagliardone | Danit Gal | Thiago Alves | Gabriela Martinez 단체 저자: UNESCO The present report provides a global overview of the dynamics characterizing hate speech online and some of the measures that have been adopted to counteract and mitigate it, highlighting good practices that have emerged at the local and global levels. While the study offers a comprehensive analysis of the international, regional and national normative frameworks developed to address hate speech online, and their repercussions for freedom of expression, it places particular emphasis on social and non-regulatory mechanisms that can help to counter the production, dissemination and impact of hateful messages online. 
Evaluation of UNESCO’s Action to Prevent Violent Extremism 발행 연도: 2020 단체 저자: UNESCO Internal Oversight Service (IOS) The purpose of this evaluation was twofold. To provide evidence, ideas and insights on how UNESCO’s efforts on PVE in the period from 2015-2018 have contributed to enhancing UNESCO’s action and position in the PVE sphere in light of the decisions of Member States. And to provide evidence and formulate lessons learned and good practices on the intersectoral approach with the aim of informing what works and what does not work in intersectoral cooperation.The evaluation found that UNESCO’s work on PVE was context specific and adjusted to respond to the needs of the countries and sub-regions where the work was being implemented.UNESCO’s work is aligned with the agency’s mandate and expertise and makes the most of its strong relationships with government bodies and civil society actors. UNESCO’s work on PVE has led to positive results around the quality, use and effectiveness of guidance documents, around capacity building of UNESCO partners and stakeholders, and around the provision of expertise and policy advice both at national and global level. Using an intersectoral approach led to an increase in information sharing and coordination. However, this was not always translated to intersectoral implementation or delivery of PVE initiatives.
