In response to the urgent need to recover learning losses, countries worldwide have taken RAPID actions to: Reach every child and keep them in school; Assess learning levels regularly; Prioritize teaching the fundamentals; Increase the efficiency of instruction; and Develop psychosocial health and wellbeing. This brief presents regional findings from the 4th round of the Survey on National Education Responses to COVID-19 School Closures (‘joint survey’), administered between April to July 2022, and the Global Education Recovery Tracker (‘GERT’), administered between May to July 2022. It examines how countries in the region have progressed in recovering and accelerating learning through the five key policy actions in the RAPID framework. These findings are a follow-up to the 1st round of RAPID data collected in March 2022.

Education in a Post-COVID World: Towards a Rapid Transformation; Mission Recovering Education in Humanitarian Settings Brief Год публикации: 2023 Организация-автор: United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Towards the goal of COVID-19 recovery for crisis-affected children, UNICEF has been implementing the Mission: Recovering Education in Humanitarian Settings programme in 27 countries and across all seven regional offices, with support from the United States government. This programme emerged from Mission: Recovering Education, globally launched in 2021 by UNICEF, UNESCO and the World Bank. To examine how these programme countries have progressed in recovering and accelerating learning through the five key policy actions in the RAPID framework, this brief presents findings from the 4th round of the Survey on National Education Responses to COVID-19 School Closures (‘joint survey’), administered between April to July 2022, and the Global Education Recovery Tracker (‘GERT’), administered between May to July 2022. Adolescents in a Changing World: The Case for Urgent Investment Год публикации: 2024 Организация-автор: World Health Organization (WHO) | United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) This report focuses on the strong returns on investment associated with investing in adolescent health and well-being. Today, adolescents make up more than 16% of the world's population. They are a demographic that is often overlooked or misunderstood. Investments in adolescents can reduce inequalities and help to protect their human rights. The economic and social returns from a wide range of investments to address adolescent well-being are significant. The report makes a compelling case for investing in adolescents, they are living in a world facing multifaceted crises, and they will be tomorrow's changemakers and leaders. The staggering cost of inaction is estimated at US$110 trillion over a period of 27 years (2024-50). That amounts to 7.7% of the total GDP of those countries included in the models, which themselves include around 80% of the world's population. Many interventions will yield high returns, including those focused on health services and multisectoral interventions, for example on SRHR, HPV, TB, myopia, education and training, child marriage and road accident prevention. This evidence base is crucial for policymakers, practitioners, researchers, educators, donors, and civil society organizations as we map the road ahead for a better and more sustainable future. Investing in adolescent health and well-being strengthens the human capital of a country, and hence a country's potential for future development and for ending extreme poverty and creating more inclusive societies.

This report highlights the importance of a safe, violence-free school environment to ensure quality education.The main objective of this evaluation is to provide a detailed diagnosis of the situation of violence in the school environment in Morocco. Accordingly, the study focuses on measuring the extent of the spread of this phenomenon and identifying its various forms and manifestations in the school environment, as well as the actors involved in it. It does not only target the perpetrators of violence, but also its victims, including students and educational staff. Il met en évidence l’importance d’un environnement scolaire sûr et sans violence pour garantir une éducation de qualité. L’objectif principal de cette évaluation est d’apporter un diagnostic détaillé sur la situation de la violence en milieu scolaire au Maroc. Elle vise ainsi à en mesurer la prévalence et à identifier les différentes formes et manifestations de celle-ci, ainsi que les acteurs impliqués, en ciblant, non seulement les auteurs de violence, mais également les victimes parmi les élèves et le personnel éducatif. Cette évaluation repose sur les résultats d’une enquête quantitative réalisée à la fin du premier trimestre de l’année scolaire 2021-2022, auprès de 260 établissements représentatifs à l’échelle nationale, avec la participation de 13 884 élèves représentant les trois cycles de l’enseignement (primaire, secondaire collégial et qualifiant), ainsi qu’une enquête qualitative menée dans 27 établissements.
