Education for Integration: Ideas and Resources for the Formation of Regional Citizenship Год публикации: 2021 Организация-автор: Mercosur Educational Sector Support Program (PASEM) For Latin American and Caribbean countries, regional integration is a tool to expand their margins of autonomy and promote economic development with social inclusion. From the events that led to independence to the present day, the ideals of unity and integration have been present in many men and women who conceived emancipatory national-regional political projects and sought to form sovereign and developed nations. The Common Market of the South - or as it is commonly known, Mercosur - is one of those regional political projects that seeks to build a supportive, inclusive region, open to citizen participation and that guarantees the right of peoples to development. El análisis de los hechos más relevantes del año y de la naturaleza, causas, dinámicas, actores y consecuencias de los principales escenarios de conflicto armado y tensión socio-política en el mundo permite ofrecer una mirada comparativa regional e identificar tendencias globales, así como elementos de riesgo y alerta preventiva de cara al futuro. Del mismo modo, el informe también identifica oportunidades para la construcción de paz o para la reducción, prevención o resolución de conflictos.

This proposal continues the work that we at InteRed have been doing to generate in people the capacities to position themselves in the current system of inequalities from a social justice perspective, without losing confidence that another model of development that is more fair, equitable and sustainable is possible. In this process of capacity building, we believe it is essential to address the management of emotions. With this approach, throughout its 88 pages it explores local applications and compares experiences from other regions, providing a broad and enriching view of this methodology. Solidarity-based service-learning is a recommended pedagogical strategy to face the educational challenges of the 21st century. According to the Delors report (1996), this methodology is aligned with the four pillars of education: learning to be, learning to learn, learning to do and learning to live together. The manual details how SLL projects can be a powerful tool for social change. El aprendizaje-servicio solidario es una estrategia pedagógica recomendada para enfrentar los desafíos educativos del siglo XXI. Según el informe Delors (1996), esta metodología está alineada con los cuatro pilares de la educación: aprender a ser, aprender a aprender, aprender a hacer y aprender a vivir juntos.
