Con ella pretendemos contribuir a la formación de personas capaces de ejercer una ciudadanía activa y comprometida, de transformar su entorno y de asumir como suyos tantos los retos globales de nuestro tiempo como el cumplimiento de la Agenda 2030 y de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible. Three interesting takeaways from the Colloquium: 1. Building resilience against genocide requires critical thinking about the process of identity-based violence and its reversal.2. The content of peace education programmes matters: interactive role-play type activities have been shown to have a longer lasting impact.3. Unhealed wounds need to be addressed to prevent a repeat of violence; psychosocial support must accompany peace education to reduce anxiety, which can be an obstacle when accessing empathy. A major achievement resulting from the consortium’s advocacy has been that the Government of Rwanda through the Ministry of Education has integrated Peace and Values education into the school curriculum. In a new phase of work Aegis is now supporting the implementation of the revised national curriculum that has integrated peace and values education (2016-19). This box is addressed in a special way to teachers and students of basic education, as well as to different agents of the civil society that support them. Its purpose is to favor the development of school communities that make the school a center of study, play, advice and work for all. Because the materials of the Toolbox can also be interesting to young people and adults of all ages. In this sense, the box invites the different agents of the communities to think and produce new playful-educational materials that collect and put into action some priority local contents, which, surely, will enrich the life and educational possibilities of school communities. Esta caja se dirige de manera especial a maestros y estudiantes de educación básica, así como a distintos agentes de la sociedad civil que los apoyan. Tiene entre sus propósitos favorecer el desarrollo de comunidades escolares que hagan de la escuela un centro de estudio, juego, asesoría y trabajo para todos. Porque los materiales de la Caja de Herramientas también pueden resultar interesantes a jóvenes y adultos de todas las edades. Peace the Best Way Год публикации: 2017 Организация-автор: Lesotho Distance Teaching Centre (LDTC) The storybook titled “Peace, the Best Way (Ngoan’a Khotso Ha a Lebale Tsa Khotso)” is an end-product of Workshop in Lesotho on GCED: Teacher Training on Peace Education & GCED Learning Material Development held between 12 and 14 of July 2017. During the workshop, participants created learning materials on peace and conflict transformation based on what they have learned throughout the sessions.The authors share their stories of conflicts that they encounter in their everyday lives and further identify ways of managing and resolving the conflicts in a peaceful manner to let everyone live in harmony. Disability Discrimination in the Digital Realm: How the ICRPD Applies to Artificial Intelligence Decision-Making Processes and Helps in Determining the State of International Human Rights Law (Human Rights Law Reivew; Volume. 23, Issue. 3) Год публикации: 2023 Автор: Tetyana Krupiy | Martin Scheinin Scholars have identified challenges to protecting individuals from discrimination in contexts where organisations deploy artificial intelligence decision-making processes. While scholarship on ‘digital discrimination’ is growing, scholars have paid less attention to the impact of the use of artificial intelligence decision-making processes on persons with disabilities. This article posits that while the use of artificial intelligence technology can be beneficial for some purposes, its deployment can also construct a disability. The article demonstrates that the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities can be interpreted in a manner that confers a wide variety of human rights on persons with disabilities in the context when entities deploy artificial intelligence decision-making processes. The article proposes a test for digital discrimination based on disability and shows how it can be incorporated into the treaty through legal interpretation. Thereafter, it moves to developing an analogous general test for digital discrimination under international human rights law, applicable beyond a catalogue of protected characteristics.
