Supporting Schools’ and Teachers’ Use of Assessment to Inform Learning of All Students (Using Assessment Data in Education Policy and Practice: Examples from the Asia-Pacific issue 5, December 2023) Год публикации: 2023 Автор: Ursula Schwantner | Soumaya Maghnouj Организация-автор: UNESCO Bangkok | Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) In more than half of Asia-Pacific countries, a majority of learners in primary and secondary education do not have the required foundational skills. The fifth issue of the topical case studies series 'Using Assessment Data in Education Policy And Practice: Examples From The Asia-Pacific' under the Network for Education Quality Monitoring in Asia-Pacific (NEQMAP), documents four promising practices from countries in the Asia-Pacific region on how education systems can better support teachers and schools in effectively integrating assessment practices in the teaching and learning process. The goal of this support is to identify and meaningfully address every learner’s needs, so that every learner can learn successfully. The case studies look at a variety of levers that promote a better use of assessment for learning such as how to develop teachers’ assessment literacy and capacity to design, implement and use assessment to inform their classroom teaching and learning; how to improve the use of standardized assessment data to inform teaching and learning and how to rethink the organization of instruction to address the needs of all learners.

The general objective of the project is to promote cooperation between Spain and Portugal in the educational, social and economic development of the border territories through the creation of a network of schools that pro-vides the populations knowledge and skills associated with bilingualism and interculturality relevant to citizenship, continuation of studies and employability in both countries. This article presents the PEBIF project, both its structuring theoretical principles and the implementation carried out, as well as the most relevant results obtained so far. El objetivo general del proyecto es promover la cooperación entre España y Portugal en el desarrollo educativo, social y económico de los territorios de frontera a través de la creación de una red de escuelas que proporcione a las poblaciones conocimientos y habilidades asociadas al bilingüismo y la interculturalidad relevantes para la ciudadanía, la continuación de los estudios y la empleabilidad en ambos países. En este artículo se presenta el proyecto PEBIF, tantos sus principios teóricos estructurantes como la implementación realizada, así como los resultados más relevantes obtenidos hasta ahora.

From these silent practices of internationalization we see the potential to build knowledge while respecting the interculturality that permeates the educational space. In this sense, we must recognize and understand these practices as internationalization processes, with a view to debating and reflecting on how they can contribute to the improvement of the educational system from an Ibero-American perspective. A partir de estas prácticas silenciosas de internacionalización vemos el potencial para construir el conocimiento respetando la interculturalidad que impregna el espacio educativo. En este sentido, debemos reconocer y entender estas prácticas como procesos de internacionalización, con vistas a debatir y reflexionar sobre cómo pueden contribuir a la mejora del sistema educativo desde una perspectiva iberoamericana.

With it we intend to contribute to the training of people capable of exercising active and committed citizenship, of transforming their environment and of assuming as their own the global challenges of our time as well as the fulfillment of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals. This publication collects activities from previous publications, with the difference that it has been adapted to an easy-to-read model to make it much simpler and more accessible for people with functional diversity. The activities address three major themes: 1.) Defense of the environment, 2.) Gender equality, and 3.) Interculturality. By addressing these topics we seek to promote reflection on the different global challenges that affect us and learn about the different ways to contribute to these causes.
