EIU Best Practices Series No. 36: Enhancing Student Environmental Sustainability Awareness with Innovative Art Media: A Multidisciplinary of Art and Science Activities Год публикации: 2014 Автор: Poonarat Pichayapaiboon Организация-автор: APCEIU This issue is one of APCEIU's EIU Best Practices Series, which aims to encourage educators, scholars, and activists to implement and share local initiatives on EIU. The Series No.36 introduces a multidisciplinary programme of art and science activities implemented in Thailand’s Chulalongkorn University to raise students’ awareness of environmental sustainability. Given the country’s large volume of green mussels, there is increasing concern for shell waste management and global warming. As students of varied age learn how shells can be transformed into pigment and clay, and use to create artwork as part of “Turning Waste into Art to Live a Sustainable Life” project, students come to appreciate the value of environmental protection and management. The programme is an exemplary case in which children are educated to live in harmony with the earth, following one of the key pillars of EIU. 
새로운 교육과정에 담은 세계시민교육: 2015 개정 교육과정 맞춤 교수학습 가이드 Год публикации: 2017 Организация-автор: 유네스코 아시아태평양 국제이해교육원 유네스코 아시아태평양 국제이해교육원(APCEIU)은 교사용 세계시민교육 교수학습 가이드 『새로운 교육과정에 담은 세계시민교육』을 출간했다. 이 교수학습 가이드는 유네스코 세계시민교육 가이드(Global Citizenship Education: Topic and Learning Objectives)를 2015 개정 교육과정에 연계시켜 실제 학교 수업에 적용하는 방안을 제시하고자 개발된 것으로, 초등학교 교사용, 중학교 교사용, 고등학교 교사용 등 총 3종으로 구성되어 있다. 세계시민교육은 어떤 교육이고, 그것이 필요한 이유는 무엇인지, 유네스코 세계시민교육과 한국의 국가 교육과정은 어떤 연관성을 지니고 있는지, 세계시민교육을 주요 유관 과목에 접목시키고자 할 때에는 어떤 학습 요소를 강조하는 것이 적절한지, 그리고 세계시민교육 수업은 어떤 방식으로 구성할 수 있는지 등과 같은 질문에 대한 답을 찾고 있다면 이 교수학습 가이드를 펼쳐 보기 바란다. 
EIU Best Practices Series No.45: Learning to Live Together through Literature and Critical Thinking: Encourage, Explore, Experience Год публикации: 2017 Организация-автор: APCEIU This monograph is one of APCEIU's EIU Best Practices Series, which aims to encourage educators, scholars, and activists to implement and share local initiatives on EIU. The Series No. 45 introduces a programme called “Learning to Live Together through Literature and Critical Thinking: Encourage, Explore, Experience.” With critical thinking at its heart, students learn the concepts of GCED through the perspectives of literary masterpieces, diverse cultural traditions, and teambuilding activities. By guiding students through the 3 Es, this exemplary programme motivates and equips students to demonstrate their global citizenship by launching useful projects for the city community.

The event was co-organized by the Permanent Delegation of the Republic of Korea to UNESCO and the Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU) in collaboration with the Group of Friends for Solidarity and Inclusion with GCED (Afghanistan, Armenia, Austria, Bangladesh, Canada, Colombia, Italy, Jordan, Kenya, Kuwait, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Saudi Arabia, Senegal and Serbia). This report shares the summary of the event, particularly the presentations on GCED activities implemented by practitioners from Armenia, Austria, Colombia, Jordan, Kenya and the Philippines to influence more GCED programmes/initiatives on various contexts and backgrounds.
