Global Citizenship Education: A Guide for Policymakers Год публикации: 2017 Автор: Swee-Hin Toh | Gary Shaw | Danilo Padilla Организация-автор: APCEIU In order to assist UNESCO Member States to integrate and strengthen Global Citizenship Education (GCED) in national education policies, strategies and plans to achieve SDG Target 4.7 effectively, the Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU) has developed and published Global Citizenship Education: A Guide for Policymakers (hereafter referred to as the Guide).The Guide is mainly divided into two parts. Part 1 provides an overview of GCED, including the following three sections: the background to GCED; the rationale for GCED; and the concept of GCED. In Part 2, various selection strategies which allow each country to incorporate GCED into its current education system aligned with its own priorities and context, were divided and suggested into five major policy areas as follow: policy review and development; curriculum review and development; capacity building; knowledge creation; sharing and dissemination; and monitoring and assessment.The Guide was first published in English and Korean and additional translations will be available in the future in other languages, including French and Arabic to provide access to more readers worldwide. Youth Advocacy Kit on Global Citizenship Education Год публикации: 2018 Организация-автор: APCEIU APCEIU has published the Youth Advocacy Kit on Global Citizenship Education (GCED) in order to provide youth leaders a guideline on advocacy for GCED. Targeting youth activists who currently participate in GCED programmes around the world, the kit offers the overview of GCED and advocacy as well as tips and tools to effectively implement advocacy campaign for GCED in local and global context. For effective delivery of peace education, it is critical to examine and understand the relevance of peace education and its key issues and approaches at a given juncture. With this in mind, in 2020, APCEIU conducted a study on peace education in South Korea to review its current state and suggest some policy recommendations. Following up on this study, APCEIU initiated in 2021 a research project on peace education in Northeast Asia in order to identify how peace education is interpreted and practised in the countries of the region and explore possibilities of cooperation among peace educators, researchers, and practitioners in the region. Building on this research, APCEIU hopes to develop and carry out joint projects for peace education in the region. 
Global Citizenship Education in Southern Africa: Learning to Live Together - the Role of Teachers; Report of a Networking Meeting Год публикации: 2019 Организация-автор: UNESCO Harare | APCEIU This is a report on the second GCED networking meeting held from 28 to 29 October 2019 in Johannesburg, South Africa. It took stock of GCED in the region and discussed how GCED is and could be integrated in curricula and teacher education in the Southern African context to strengthen and expand the existing networks of GCED stakeholders and partners.
