Las políticas de las grandes plataformas sobre discurso de odio durante el Covid-19 Год публикации: 2021 Организация-автор: UNESCO Montevideo Este documento da cuenta de un aumento de posteos considerados discurso de odio a partir de la llegada de la pandemia COVID-19 en Facebook, Twitter y YouTube. Aunque dispar, ese aumento puede establecerse a partir de los informes de transparencia de las distintas plataformas y los crecimientos registrados en la moderación de esos contenidos a partir de marzo de 2020.Dado que en ese mismo período, y como consecuencia de las medidas de aislamiento tomadas ven la mayoría de los países del mundo, las plataformas tomaron la decisión de aumentar el uso de herramientas de inteligencia artificial en sus procesos de moderación no es posible asegurar a ciencia cierta que ese crecimiento se haya registrado por un aumento en la creación y publicación de mensajes o a partir de un cambio en los sistemas de detección que afectó los resultados entre un año y otro.
Cartographie des politiques culturelles dans les Petits États Insulaires en développement : faire émerger la voix des PEID dans le dialogue politique mondial sur la culture et le développement durable Год публикации: 2025 Организация-автор: UNESCO Cartographie des politiques culturelles dans les Petits États insulaires en développement Répartis dans trois sous-régions - l’Atlantique, l’océan Indien et la mer de Chine méridionale (AIS), les Caraïbes et le Pacifique - les petits États insulaires en développement (PEID) représentent 39 États membres de et 9 membres associés de l’UNESCO. Les pays et les organisations régionales ont progressivement démontré leur engagement dans un paysage politique et des écosystèmes culturels en évolution rapide, englobant les différentes dimensions de la culture, à travers sa diversité et son large éventail de parties prenantes. Aujourd’hui, une vision du développement spécifique aux PEID et axée sur la culture est en plein essor. La culture a un impact multiforme sur les voies du développement durable des PEID - qu’il s’agisse de la lutte contre le changement climatique, de la protection de la biodiversité, de la sécurité alimentaire, de la diversification économique, de l’inclusion sociale, de l’égalité entre les genres ou de la durabilité urbaine. Leurs voix et leurs aspirations doivent être entendues dans le dialogue politique mondial, en reconnaissance de leurs priorités, de leurs opportunités et de leurs idées innovantes. Les efforts de coopération internationale portés par l’UNESCO et d’autres organisations sont également essentiels pour identifier les domaines d’investissement et d’adaptation des politiques futures aux niveaux national et régional. Dans la continuité de la Conférence mondiale de l’UNESCO sur les politiques culturelles et le développement durable - MONDIACULT 2022, les PEID œuvrent en faveur de la culture pour le développement durable en vue de l’adoption d’un nouveau programme d’action, l’Agenda d’Antigua-et-Barbuda pour les PEID 2024-2034.
Women’s Rights in Review 30 Years after Beijing Год публикации: 2025 Организация-автор: United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) In 2025, the world celebrates 30 years of achievement on the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, a visionary 1995 plan agreed by 189 governments to achieve the equal rights of all women and girls. The UN Secretary-General’s report on the 30-year review and appraisal of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action reflects global, regional, and national reviews of 159 countries, summarizing progress and priorities for further action. It finds that many countries have made strides on gender equality and women’s empowerment, from banning discrimination in employment to adopting gender-responsive climate action plans. Innovation is accelerating progress, and opportunities are opening to scale up proven strategies. Yet gender discrimination remains deeply embedded in all economies and societies, imposing chronic constraints on the rights and hopes of women and girls.

Women and girls, Indigenous Peoples, people living in poverty and other groups experiencing discrimination are particularly at a disadvantage. The consequences of climate breakdown are felt in all parts of the world and by most people, yet only the richest people and countries have the wealth, power and influence to protect themselves. With that power comes huge responsibility.If no action is taken, the richest will continue to burn through the carbon we have left to use while keeping the global temperature below the safe limit of 1.5°C, destroying any chance of ending poverty and ensuring equality. The world needs an equal transformation. Only a radical reduction in inequality, transformative climate action and fundamentally shifting our economic goals as a society can save our planet while ensuring wellbeing for all.

Educating Against Extremism: Towards a Critical Politicisation of Young People Год публикации: 2009 Автор: Lynn Davis The paper examines the nature of extremism; identity formation and radicalization; religious belief, faith schools and the myth of equal value; justice, revenge and honour; and free speech, humour and satire. It argues that religious fundamentalism, as well as state terrorism, needs to be addressed in schools. Specific forms of citizenship education are needed, which provide skills to analyse the media and political or religious messages, but also enable critical idealism to be fostered.
