[DIALOG #16] Information and methodological bulletin on multilingual and multicultural education in Central Asia Год публикации: 2018 Организация-автор: United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) | Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) The website and the informational and methodological bulletin "Dialogue" was created in order to assist educational organizations of the countries of Central Asia in the implementation of multilingual education programs. The website is supported by the Central Asian Education Program of the OSCE HCNM, the UN Children's Fund UNICEF and the Center for Social Integration.The bulletin is addressed to teachers and school leaders, representatives of education authorities, researchers and experts in the field of education. The bulletin is intended to quarterly inform about initiatives and significant events in the field of multilingual and multicultural education in Central Asia and around the world. In each issue of the bulletin you can find a variety of materials: interviews with experts, a review of the experience of multilingual schools, methodological articles and lesson development, announcements of events and publications, links to Internet resources. Le projet YEM est financé par l’Union européenne (UE) et vise à améliorer les systèmes de prévision des compétences et à promouvoir l’enseignement et la formation techniques et professionnels (EFTP) pour renforcer l’emploi et l’entrepreneuriat dans la région méditerranéenne.

Burch | Chris Willott The paper, entitled "Medical students as global citizens: a qualitative study of medical students’ views on global health teaching within the undergraduate medical curriculum", is based on a small-scale qualitative study with UCL(University College London) medical students. It aimed to explore Year 5 medical students’ knowledge and learning about global health issues, as well as their wider perspectives on its relevance to their professional development. The work builds on DERC(Development Education Research Centre)’s long-term interest in global issues within the initial training and professional development of a number of key global professions, such as teaching, medicine and engineering. 
Measuring Distance to the SDG Targets 2019 - An Assessment of Where OECD Countries Stand Год публикации: 2019 Организация-автор: Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set a broad and ambitious programme for the world to achieve by 2030. With 17 Goals, underpinned by 169 Targets, the complex and integrated nature of the 2030 Agenda presents national governments with huge challenges for implementation. To assist countries, the OECD has developed a unique methodology allowing comparison of progress across SDG goals and targets. Based on the UN Global List of 244 indicators, this study evaluates the distance that OECD countries need to travel to meet SDG targets for which data is currently available. This 2019 edition of the study presents the latest results for OECD countries, both on average and individually, as well as new exploratory approaches to assessing progress over time and transboundary aspects of the SDGs. By providing a high-level overview of countries’ strengths and weaknesses in performance across the SDGs, this study aims to support member countries in navigating the SDGs and in setting their own priorities for action within the broad 2030 Agenda.

This includes establishing the scope, context and purpose for measuring ROI, adopting guiding principles, identifying costs, benefits and factors that impact on ROI, and approaches to data collection and analysis. The Guide then introduces a framework that looks at the ROI equation from a range of perspectives – including economic and social dimensions – and for different stakeholders, including individuals, businesses and societies. The Guide presents relevant ROI indicators and measures drawn from the existing international research. Finally, it provides guidelines to planning and collecting ROI data, along with a set of practical pro forma resources and case studies to assist the reader. 
Policy Brief: Education for Sustainable Development in Central Asia Год публикации: 2019 Организация-автор: UNESCO Almaty Education for Sustainable Development(ESD) is crucial to reaching all 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Both ESD and Global Citizenship Education (GCED) are explicitly stated in the seventh target of SDG4 and promoted by UNESCO as two complimentary approaches. This requires teaching and learning objectives that enable learners to acquire the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values for sustainable development as part of cognitive, socio-emotional and behavioural domains. This policy brief explores the challenges, promising practices, and policy recommendations when it comes to mainstreaming ESD in Central Asia’s education systems.
